Mar 11th 2011 - 0 comments

"On The Road with Solitaire" is a 12-part webisode series following Sweetgrass Productions in the making of their new 2-year project, the South American backcountry ski and snowboarding film "Solitaire." New episodes will be released on the 21st of every month. Episode I introduces Solitaire and some of the landscapes the crew encountered in their first season of filming in the snowbound badlands of the Southern Hemisphere. In the high desert of South America, winter takes hold, devouring bleached bones and abandoned shacks. Into these most inhospitable of lands, a handful of drifters emerge from the whiteout, ready to cast their lot on forsaken peaks both merciless and magnificent. Solitaire fuses western-inspired tales of backcountry gambles into landscapes never before visited on film. sweetgrass-productions.com

Contour HD 1080p Skiing at Mt. Holiday

Think Feel Pictures - A day on the slopes at Mt. Holiday with the Contour HD 1080p helmet camera. This was my first time filming with the ContourHD 1080p camera on the snow. So you wont see any crazy ski and snowboard tricks or sick shots in this video. I'm still getting a feel for the best way to use this camera. Mt. Holiday is a great little ski hill in Traverse City, Michigan. It overlooks the East Grand Traverse Bay. We were surprised to see some fresh tracks in the snow. I wouldn't call it powder skiing, but it was close enough for me. Editing - David Meador Camera setup - ContourHD 1080p mounted on top of helmet Song - Brendan Benson - Feel Like Myself Stay connected!?? Facebook - ??http://on.fb.me/tfpictures? Mar 10th 2011 - 0 comments

With 64 ski days at Jackson Hole under my belt this season and my parents in town, I decided to mix it up and pay Grand Targhee my first visit this past Saturday. The drive was shorter than expected, we didn?t wait in a lift line all day and there were plenty of stashes from the 7? that had fallen in the previous 48 hours. It was a great day and I can?t wait until I can explore the resort?s terrain again. Skiing & Editing: Than Volk Download Music: 1901 ? Phoenix http://PointOfRelease.com
