Well here it is! The long awaited arrival of the Ashton Hayes Ski-tastic Edit. As we were on a bender of Wu-Tang Clan, Evil Ebenezer, Pant Saggin Dezign, Naked Juice and Macbeth Footwear.. The Farm's Founding Fathers (Ashton Hayes and Conor Edgar) ventured out into the unknown.. alright suburbs of Grand Rapids, Michigan to produce a ski video, of which makes Michigan parks look like Colorado, for one day of shooting bits of the Subway Slopetyle Competition as well as just terrain park activities. Back in 2004, a flip on skis gone tragically wrong broke Josh Dueck?s back and left him as a T11 ? full paraplegic. For the past 8 years one of his dreams has been to do a flip on snow again. On February 3, 2012, Josh became the first person to perform a backflip on snow in a Sit Ski!

65 Teilnehmer sind vergangenen Samstag, den 04. Februar 2012 zum 5ive Alpspitzpark gepilgert, um beim Wir Schanzen Auftakt ?The 5ive Barbecue? an den Start zu gehen. Trotz klirrender Kälte war die Stimmung unter den Teilnehmer bestens. Das Ganze gemischt mit gutem Sound und leckeren Steaksemmeln vom Barbecue-Grill - und fertig war ein super Contest-Tag. Zudem wurden beim The 5ive Barbecue die ersten Clips zum Video Clash gefIlmt und diese warten auf ein ?Gefällt mir?. Die Veranstalter freute, dass richtig viele junge Nachwuchsfahrer beim ersten Tourstopp der Wir Schanzen teilgenommen haben. Nach erfolgreicher Anmeldung ging es hurtig in den Park, um die extra lange Trainingszeit gut zu nutzen. Das Setup war äußerst vielseitig mit verschiede- nen Jibs und einer Zweier-Kickerline. Für die kleinsten Shredder gab es zusätzlich ein Easy-Setup mit Butterboxen und kleinen Sprüngen. Und nicht zu vergessen - am Inrun stand Ride Snowboard-Pro Sebi Geiger, um den Kids mit dem ein oder anderen Tipp vor ihren Runs weiterzuhelfen.
