Earlier this season Rocky Mountain Underground and Frist Drop teamed up for the "For F*%k Sakes Sponsor Me" contest, looking for a worthy rider to represent their brands. The first round started out with 63 entries from all around the world. These were pared down to 15 by your votes, and 13 resubmitted edits to the final round. After watching all the banger videos multiple times to really see who is doing what, the RMU and First Drop team made their final decisions. We are pround to announce the winners here!
p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica}I haven't really skied in about 6 six weeks due to my ankle injury that happened at Vail in the middle of December. I took two runs at Breck about 2 1/2 weeks ago to see how it felt on the mountain.
I'm sitting here on a Saturday night, sipping a Coors, and thinking about the week we had here in Summit County. The whole county got pounded with three storms over a four day period that left us with four and a half feet of new snow. For Colorado, that's pretty impressive, and almost everyone took advantage of it. On Tuesday morning, Breck reported a whopping 26 inches of new snow, and the entire county showed up there to shred it. By about 11am, I'd had enough of the 15 minute wait lines and headed to Arapahoe Basin to ski their reported 12 inches (more like 18) with about 30 other people on the entire mountain. Needless to say that was amazing.

Hello from Durango! Straight A's in school and a huge storm means that it is skiing time!!! Purgatory has gotten close to 50" and Silverton is reporting 90" in their parking lot! The Guyot is treating me well in the soft snow and I can't wait to ski the Diam when the pow is all gone. See you on the slopes!
Snow was to be found and so far this season has been nearly entirely pow skiing. I have spent most of the month hiking around Breck and finding good trees and lines to shred.
Rocky Mountain Underground is in the last week of voting for the ISPO Brand New Award. We are currently in forth place and are hoping for a podium finish. Like we mentioned before there are several pieces that go into the decision of which companies will be featured at the trade show, but we know that the public vote is well over a third of the vote. If you are interested in voting and have not done so, please go the link below. It takes longer to read this than it does to vote.
Please send us to ISPO 2011 in Munich!! Go like our profile on the ISPO hottest brands site. http://www.ispo-brandnew.com/en/CompanyPortrait.aspx?ID=1854
Although everything didn’t go exactly as planned, Whiteout Rally made it through the weekend in one piece and finished the event. Friday went surprisingly well, we were able to complete 2 passes on Seventeen South and Fir Mountain, and 1 on Gihouley. We felt good about our notes, especially for it being both Tuesday and I’s first time writing them. The car showed up while we were still out on recce, so as soon as we got into the service park we hoped in to take offfor tech. Just as we were going to pull out, Tuesday noticed our tail lights weren’t working. A few quick checks found a fuse under the hood was to blame and we were off to the Parkdale fire department. Just after we had got the all clear from inspection and were about to pull out, a fire was called in. Trying our best to stay out of everyone’s way, we happily sat in the car watching the volunteer fireman’s trucks come flying into the station and the occupants jumping out and into their gear. After the firetruck raced off, we headed back to the service park to put the car under the tent for the night. The brakes felt a bit soft so we planned to get up a few hours early and bleed them one more time to clear any remaining bubbles that may have been hiding in the handbrake.
