It’s very difficult to put these moments into words… All of the hard work, the countless hours of effort, culminated tonight in what was the best Jon Olsson Invitational in the event’s history. Wow, just wow! I can’t believe how much this sport has progressed over the past 10 years! Every year I keep thinking that there is no way that the riders can push it harder, but every year they surprise me and do things that I never thought was possible! Switch triple front, triple back, triple 16, unnatural triples, just insane stuff!

“Woooo!!!” screams the media half way up the slope. Claps and woots encourage the riders as they ascend the in-run under the venue lights. Nerves take the backseat to a mix of enthusiasm and anxiety. With the confidence gained at yesterday’s session, tonight was set to be a hell of a show.

Last night was the first real training at JOI and I to hear PK say that the kicker is the best its ever been was amazing to hear as this is for sure the nr one focus on this event. Lots of triples were thrown and I can't wait to see what comes next from the boys, incredible to see how they stepped it up from yesterdays training session. You do see a big difference in the riders on a kicker like this, the really good ones can use the pop and get super hang time while a few guys seem to have a harder time, but its built for the best to push this sport to the next level so things are just like they should be!

The final day of the BRITS 2014 saw James Machon (23) and Madi Rowlands (13) take first place positions at the Trespass British Halfpipe Championships. Despite cold and windy conditions spirits were high and there was certainly a family feeling in the air. With a mixture of both old and new faces in the field, crowds were treated to an afternoon of fine Freeski talent.
