Lake Wanaka brought a successful winter season to a close at the weekend with all four resorts, Treble Cone, Snow Park NZ, Cardrona Alpine Resort and Snow Farm, reporting excellent visitor numbers, great snow conditions throughout and many successful world-class events.

Boreal's 5th Annual JPI Team Video Challenge Details Announced

Boreal Mountain Resort will host the 5th Annual Jibassic Public Invitational on an undetermined date. What is determined is that the public will be throwing down for cash this year instead of the pros. The two-pronged event will feature a public jib arena contest and a Team Video Challenge. The new format will place over $4,000 cash into the public's hands plus allow skiers and snowboarders an early shred for the 2009/2010 season.

Over 60 competitors swarmed Treble Cone for the first ever mini MOUNTAIN open. The two day event was set up for skiers and snowboarders under twelve years old as an introduction to the world of competitive alpine sports.

The Treble Cone Triple Comp wrapped up this afternoon completing one of the most unique snow sports events in the area. It incorporated all aspects of skiing and snowboarding in a distinctive format that had all participants competing against each other.
