After an unexcusable hiatus, I'm back to blogging, partying, all the while trying to handle the two S's... Ski & School. While it's always my goal to make the first the priority, this season's gotten the best of me.
Now back with the second installment of the Man Crush Series, discussing people whom I look up to and admire. Featuring Josh Berman!!!
Ture LillegravenBad news already at winter X Games 14. Skier Simon Dumont was injured at the end of super pipe practice Tuesday morning. From what I have read it sounds like he misjudged a double flip and bounced all the way down to the flat bottom. Don't you worry fans, Simon was checked out by medical staff and is said to be ready... for a day off and some good old fashion rest. Mr. Dumont is still scheduled to compete in Friday's Big Air, Saturday's SuperPipe, and Sunday's SuperPipe High Air. I am hoping for a speedy recovery since Simon is my pick to win the newest event, Super Pipe Big Air. READ THE EXPN ARTICLE
Part 1 of an in depth guide explaining the methodology of how to ski park.
This last year, I have been watching in awe of what skiers are doing. It all started with Charles Gagnier's splits rail slide (I still haven't heard anyone name it yet, anyone know?) at the Tignes Air

When I decided I needed to get this video stuff dialed, I needed something to shoot. There’s no point trying to figure this all out unless you have a purpose and some footage to play with. Leigh Powis, a local skier from Whistler, told about his crazy plan to put a trampoline on top of [...]
I'm out here in the Pacific Northwest to check out the summer ski camps that operate on the Blackcomb Glacier in Whistler for the summer months. It's a first visit to the area for me and I'll be out here for the next 14 days or so. I'm going to hopefully post everyday of the trip. Enjoy! - Dan Day 1 ~ Flying out of Boston early yesterday morning, with a connection in Atlanta, I got into Seattle by mid afternoon local time and took the Light Rail Train (which is a bitch to walk to thru the terminal with 250 lbs of gear) down to the K2 Sports offices to meet up with friend & Line Skis guru Josh Malczyk whose place I was crashing at for the evening. The K2 HQ, which houses the offices for all it's brands, is huge! I definitely enjoyed the peek behind the scenes.
