Brian Finestone's Park Report - Mar 13, 2008

THE STOKE IS AGELESS Surfers coined the term stoke to represent to exhilaration felt by anyone feeling the flow of riding waves. The feeling of being stoked has transcended beyond surfing and can be achieved by anyone who feels the flow of sliding effortlessly on snow or through thin mountain air. The ultimate sensation of being stoked comes from the feeling you get when you stomp that elusive trick you have been trying and slide away clean for the first time.  You can get stoked for someone else when they nail a new trick too. I have seen the look in the eyes of a person who gets stoked on riding for the first time; it is obvious regardless of whether they are four or forty. It is this feeling that keeps us coming back for more, it is the search for the stoke that gets us trying new tricks each day in the park, with the knowledge that the feeling is moments away.

In the hullaballoo of the hectic ski season, we never put together an update for our trip up to North Idaho.  After reading "Idafail" we thought N. Idaho needed a little positive press so, here it is - check out the pics and film edits covering the BOONE crew up in Idaho as well as the teammates Kolby Ward (Telluride, Co), Jamie Melton (Reno, NV), Scott Pollman (Reno, NV) and Garrett Jurach's (Kings Beach, CA) visit to the Stomp Games at Schweitzer Mountain Resort, in BOONE's hometown of Sandpoint, ID. Organized Chaos @ 1516 Silver Star Rail Jam

by SilverStar
Jan 3rd 2008 - 14 comments

Happy New Year Everyone! The holidays at Silver Star have come and gone but the events and park crew decided to end the 2007 year off with a bang and set-up up a super fun rail jam set-up right in the village under the lights. Skiers and snowboarders gathered in the village and took part in a 2 hr jam format rail jam, that some would call organized chaos, but others would call it the best thing going. For anyone who wanted to jib until they could jib no more..... Silver Star was the place to be on Dec 29 2007. (Photos by Tim Fitzgerald/Silver Star Resort)
