It's Tuesday once again...This Weak was filled with glorious times @ Killington for a little ice coast Shred with Dan and then getting to judge Rails to Riches. Good friend and bearded man Lyle Brooks took ahold of the camera while I judged the event. I wish I had more ski footage for you all, so as a result I will give away an Orage flannel Jacket/Axe snowpant along with a very limited addition Weak Hoodie. I spend my first part of this winter in "home-park" in Ruka Finland. I was skiing almost everyday lapping from first chair till last call. So coming into this season i was recovering from a dislocated hip that i got back in june, my first week back this season i was unfortunate enough to tear my acl and many other things. So i knew sitting around the house and moping would do no good for me so i took all my savings for the season bought a camera and followed my frands around to keep me sane. If there's anything that we can say for certain after spending the past three weeks reviewing this year's Superunknown entries, its that the talent pool has never been deeper, and there's more variation in style, influence, and inspiration than ever before. Superunknown XII drew in nearly 100 entries from around the globe- some were all street, others all park. some all pow and big mountain, and others a mix of everything. Figuring out how to compare and judge one against the next was a huge challenge, and while we can?t say that we have the perfect formula, after spending countless hours consulting with athletes, media, and the Level 1 staff and rewetting most of these entries more times than we can count we have a list of 17 Semi-Finalists, and 9 Finalists that we stand behind. We'll be dropping Semi-Finalists all week long, starting with four today. On Friday afternoon we'll kick off the fan poll for you all to choose the 10th spot in Finals, so watch closely, spread the word, and help us figure out who should join the other Finalists in April for a shot at taking home the title! Filmed Jan 2014 before SIA. I scraped production of this one in favor of making the SIA one which got me acceptance into the NS producer program. At the time it was a really big deal to me.
