Hummpefilms - Springtime Journeys

It is finally online! After months of computer-problems, I have finally completed Hummpefilms "Spring-Edit" 2011. In it we visit three different swedish ski-resorts: Klappen, Funasdalen and Are, and one finnish resort: Ruka. Riders: Par Hagglund, Lucas Stal Madison, Linus Tornberg, Magnus Graner, Sebastian Johansson, Rasmus Andersson, Jens Nilsson & friends. During these four sessions we had so much fun! LJ Strenio 2012 Season + Injury

The 11/12 winter season was on track to be the greatest season of LJ Strenio's life filled with fun park sessions in the US, powdery heaven in Europe and a trip to the urban rail mecca of Finland with Level 1. As we know too well with all this fun there is the possibility of injury & consequence. A shattered kneecap in Finland sidelined LJ for the rest of the year and through rehab, determination and the great attitude that LJ is known for is back for more! This experimental ski movie is completely influenced by David Fincher's Fight Club. Tight vs. Baggy 2 isn't exactly like the movie, instead, it incorporates an important message Fight Club conveys. "The things you own end up owning you". Skiers today attribute way to much importance on how they look on the slopes, and feel the things they wear define who they are. The attachment we have towards material goods is too great, seeing that our lives would be in shambles if we lost them all. Go out there and ride to the extreme fullest and don?t worry about what you wear. In essence, skiing is the equivalent to fighting; it is totally liberating and challenges you to let go. Suffering a tragic and unexpected loss when skiing's unabashed maverick and Harlaut's friend Tom Warnick passed away early season, Harlaut started his wildest contest season yet: defending X-games gold, throwing Wu-tang signs in Russia during the premiere of slopestyle at the Olympics, and organizing his first ever invitational event with his brother, Phil Casabon. "Looking back at this year is so crazy for me," Harlaut says. "But I had the most fun and it'll all be exposed in 'The Road to Zion."After the craziness of the Olympics filming finally started Finland, Austria, Italy and back to Colorado, jet-setting back Europe for the premiere B&E inventational event and finishing it all off up in northern Sweden.
