The second stop of our road trip through British Columbia was a visit to our old friend Jon Whelan in Nelson. Even though we hadn't seen each other for 4 years it felt like no time had passed. Our friendship was renewed in the best way possible, 5 days straight of deep pow skiing. Whitewater is truly a paradise. With steep, challenging and playful terrain paired with tons of snow, you could spend years here and never tire of it. We had some of the best runs of our season in these 5 days and couldn't be more grateful to all the friends, old and new, that we got to share this time with. I've been waiting for the proper conditions to try my first backflip ever on snow and yesterday I felt pretty good with the jump so I decided to layout my first backflip. It felt really natural and controlled, tried it 4 more times and stomped the shit out of it all of it everytime.
Suns out guns out. High Pressure at Alta has called for some B&B action ( Building Booters) in the back country. Powders nice but sunny days have gave us some great opportunity to get real sendy. Sunday March 13th while skiing down grizzly I saw a dude building a jump alone so I decided to see if he needed help. We Built we sent We Conquered. Stomped my first ever double back flip and it felt so damn good.
