A short film about our trip to the Chic-Choc mountains in eastern Quebec. Hope you guys enjoy!
My comp run from the final stop of the Freeride World Tour in Verbier.
Over the past year I have made the switch out of my 13 year racing career and spent my first season dedicated to freesking. I entered a few competitions, came out with some encouraging results, and had a rad season along the way. So heres some clips I've gathered from the past few seasons to commemorate freedom! Song: Whirlwind Thru Cities - Afu-Ra Thanks to all the people that helped film/edit.
An awesome line in Hatcher pass a few weeks ago. We actually were able to park near the top with our snowmobiles and only had to hike about 10-15 minutes to ski this. It’s amazing how close stuff like this can be with a good group and the right tools. Skier: Shaun Poirot Hatcher Pass Alaska
Monday brought 15cm to the alpine with a beautiful blue sky in the morning and it turned out be an awesome day!
Spiderman and Flash went to Freestyle Area Vitkovice in Czech Republic to shred park laps.
March 2018 in Tahoe truly was a miracle - it came in like a lion, saving our lackluster season with big storms and massive snow totals. Filmed in one day, this film shows different groups of winter athletes accessing the same terrain without conflict. Featuring Jed Kravitz, Alex 'Shugz' Dorszynski, John Lauer and Chris Cloyd. Music - Spooky Mansion 'Torture'

Suns out guns out. High Pressure at Alta has called for some B&B action ( Building Booters) in the back country. Powders nice but sunny days have gave us some great opportunity to get real sendy. Sunday March 13th while skiing down grizzly I saw a dude building a jump alone so I decided to see if he needed help. We Built we sent We Conquered. Stomped my first ever double back flip and it felt so damn good.
This is the culmination of a multi-day filming session on The Turnagain Pass with skiers Joshua Randich and Wiley Miller. For a week in early February, we bet against all odds to score south facing spines, an aspect most consider off limits come spring. Few crews have ventured to AK to see what the locals are all about until now, and with a bit of luck and determination, our crew bagged what are some of the longest, most exposed, yet easy to access lines one can find just a few steps off the road. "There are two types of Alaska ski trips you read about in ski magazines. There is the heli trip, where skiers hunker in a fishing village or backcountry lodge for weeks on end, “drinking it blue† waiting for weather windows in which they can safely fly to nearby summits and flash down formidable skiing lines in 15 seconds. And there is the hardcore backcountry camping trip, where adventurers rough it on a remote glacier, digging out tents when it snows and bagging peaks and checking off descents when it’s clear. Both sorts of outings, almost always, come to fruition in the springtime. This is a different Alaska skiing story, one that takes place in the shadows cast by the North’s long nights, where locals drive old pick-ups to the trailhead, skin and climb for hours to ski film-worthy lines, and return in the dark, speaking hardly a word of what they just accomplished." - Derek Taylor, Freeskier Magazine Principal Cinematography : Austin Ramaley Additional Footage : Josh Randich, Wiley Miller, Matt Sterbenz, David Knutson Editing : Jake Strassman

Springtime, a forced transition between ski season and summer adventures. Passed the cloud of boredom that reign during the season, hides a world of possibilities for those willing to search for it. The days become longer, slopes transform and great adventures are blooming. Follow the journey of a group of skiers throughout these changing passages of Québec’s spring. For some time, I have been playing with the idea of producing a powder project. Last season, together with photographer Michael Fasching, I worked on a project called #betweenthetrees. It was just a photoshooting. The primarily positive feedback on this project motivated us to continue working on projects like that one. This is how we got the idea for Between the Trees 2.0. The motto of my employer Blue Tomato, “Work hard, ride harder”, gave me the idea to combine these aspects, work and leisure, in Between the Trees 2.0. Together with Nico Schmidt (a filmmaker from Schladming), and Michael Fasching (former photographer of Blue Tomato) I found the fitting creators for the project. So therefore, we decided to realise the project in season 18/19. Lucky for us, the New Year started with massive snow falls. The perfect conditions for shooting Between the Trees 2.0. After countless hours on the mountain and behind the computer, we were able to finalise the project. - Till Ewers Blue Tomato, SMITH Optics, Lumipöllö, Line Skis, Full Tilt Boots, Dakine
