Blizzards in Europe buried towns in an instant before disappearing just as fast, leaving the lucky few who were there to wonder if it even happened. A Bolivian expedition found grace above 18,000 feet before the elements went rogue and the humans reluctantly heeded warnings from above. Joe Schuster and Matt Margetts crossed the border and headed to Mt Hood, Oregon. Arriving in time to share a week of spring riding with the Liberty Skis Team. Eager to hit some late season jumps, the crew hiked into the alpine in search of spots to build. After battling weather for the a few days , the team scored a three day window of sun. After years of the Slopestyle circuit grind Ian had a gnarly crash at the World Tour Finals in Whistler that altered his perspective on skiing. He decided to take a different path and ski the way he wanted to ski instead of the way the judges expected him to. As the ski industry changes, becoming increasingly commercialized, digitized and popularized we can all benefit from reflecting on why we started skiing: To Have Fun. Squaw Palisades Backflip, Silverado cliffs, Skiing the Fingers

Backflip off the Palisades, airing off everything at Squaw all shot in two days at the resort. Skiing the Fingers on KT-22 the first day and Silverado/Palisades on day two! A Bonus backflip in the backcountry airing off the train tunnel shot with a drone! I know the music sucks, but been getting takedown notices on insta & Youtube, so best way to watch is to mute the video and play your favorite song! In this short, Eric Pollard and and Karl Fostvedt pack their bags for the western shoreline of Kootenay Lake, just outside of Nelson, BC., for a heli trip for the books. When the bird lifts off the ground and the pilot’s voice comes through the headphones – only the powder slashes, butters, and cliff drops that dreams are made of lay ahead. The snow is harder than it looks. Grabs are often missed. Edges fail. Speed is off- too fast, too slow. That perfect balance point eludes even the most talented as they plummet to the ground below. Didn’t get the shot? No matter- pick up your gear and hike back up for another try. Or a few more. As many as it takes to get the shot or until you can break the habit.
