Spent my winter in Revelstoke hunting for pow and pillow stacks. Shot by Patrick Brown, Ryan Statham, Garrett Capel, Andreas Massitti, Mark Grain, Jordy Kidner.
At the age of 2 my parents brought me to the slopes of Le Semnoz and learned me what would become later a reason to live. It was important for me to produce a piece in this resort where lots of kids from Annecy and its surroundings come enjoy skiing at its finest. We had best of times building stuffs we dreamed about once we were kids, driving home from the resort every day and sharing this passion with so many friends. Big up to the filmers and photographers for their dedication : Alex Beaudoing, Robin Terry, Thomas Robert, Melissa Coursol, Nicolas Gilg, Paul Chareille, Joey Delavay, Matteo Cuny and Quentin Tshudi :) Thanks to my sponsors who make everything easier everyday : Volkl, Dalbello, Marker, Dakine, Oakley, GoPro and Feiyu Tech. I hope you'll enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed filming it.

Zermatt is a magical place, especially when Sam Anthamatten is your guide. Last spring, Sam welcomed Johnny Collinson to his glacial backyard of 4,000m peaks and together both riders ticked off Sam’s favourites lines, straight-lining steeps, weaving around crevasses and boosting ice takeoffs. Packed with unreleased footage of full throttle skiing to jaw-dropping backdrops, Extended Cut: Zermatt is the bonus edit from THIS IS HOME that we just couldn’t resist releasing. Starring: Sam Anthamatten, Johnny Collinson Shot on Location: Zermatt, Switzerland Edited By: Etienne Mérel Filmed By: Etienne Mérel, Guido Perrini Song: Elite Gymnastics - Is This On Me? http://www.thisishome.film https://factionskis.com/ Copyright (c) The Faction Collective SA
The very same day that Tanner Hall got redemption on Chad's, just a couple hundred yards away Dan Greene kept the tradition of coming up short and exploding on these gaps alive! Probably the most rowdy day in the gulch I've ever been apart of! Pretty epic to have both Chads and Pyramid being hit at the same time!

Tahoe got absolutely buried this winter. Hands down the best 6 months of my life. Huge shout out to Moment skis and Roxa boots for getting me up and down and around and especially to all the homies that made it so special. Back to work to earn the next one! @Gtbalen @momentskis @roxa_italian_skiboots @tomahawkinternational
Since the dawn of time, everything that has lived and breathed on this planet has been subject to the whims of Mother Nature. The nature of an adventurer is inherently rogue; typically wild in character, subject to the fancy of their imagination. We are unequivocally drawn to nature’s rawest fury and deepest mysteries. These are the irreverent souls who pursue the edge. In the winter of 2017, the magnitude of winter's force was on full display. Telephone poll-snapping storms pounded the Wyoming landscape. Regions to the west, recently left arid and forgotten, were gifted with unprecedented accumulation. Blizzards in Europe buried towns in an instant before disappearing just as fast, leaving the lucky few who were there to wonder if it even happened. A Bolivian expedition found grace above 18,000 feet before the elements went rogue and the humans reluctantly heeded warnings from above. Join the TGR team as they embark on an adventure filled with fury and glory, and witness the unimaginable. Presented by REI. Link to more info on the film: https://www.tetongravity.com/films/ro... North Face didn't accept my video so I added in a few extra clips and some music to make it my "Dream Run"
My season edit 2017! Here's the clips I've been saving for this season (with only few clips seen on my ig) in this 2,5 min self edit. Filmed mostly in my homeresort Ukkohalla and Ruka + some clips from Zermatt. I really hope you like this edit and if you do feel free to share! Thanks to everyone who filmed and my sponsor @ukkohallaresort / @snowpark_ukkohalla
This was such a fun flowy line to put down :D
The only worthy roof for the talents of Eric Hjorleifson and Thayne Rich is in a backcountry touring hut, where life remains primitive and the skiing, well, radical. This is a complete 4FRNT adventure with great disparity between top talents, each driven to create content from alternating perspectives. What happens when you put the GAH poster boy (Hoji) in a hut with a rookie like Thayne? Does the puppy breathe life into the old dog? Does he fall in line, one kick turn at a time? The 2-part Meadow Lodge documents a 3-day adventure with Eric and Thayne in The Esplanades, an eastern sub range of The Columbia’s where the terrain flows east to the Columbia Rivers’ Kinbasket Lake. Enjoy the crafts of these two backcountry skiers as they literally ski from the door of Meadow Lodge down fluted spines, endless pillows and perfectly gladed tree runs. An illogical ski journey across the country to end another year at Montana State University.
I've never made a season edit before, but because this year was so sick, I figured why the heck not. So, after dozens of minutes of editing, here is what my GoPro and some cell phones captured this winter.
YLESKI 2015 is the culmination of Wiley Miller?s 2015 winter season. Shot almost exclusively in the Columbia Mountains of interior British Columbia. The winter of 2015 was adverse in many areas of North America. Finding good conditions remained challenging. Patience, and persistence was key in finding safe, suitable snowpack. This is the second installment to the YLESKI series, highlighting the best of Wiley Miller and his approach to snow. ?I set out this winter to spend my time exploring new mountains, scouting lines, and finding natural airs in the terrain to work with. This season ski touring, route finding, and line selection were set in priority above building jumps and locating step-downs. It was an alternative I decided to take when the snow started to fly in November of 2014. I set out to do more skiing and less building, setting up-tracks versus cutting blocks for jumps. The sport becomes so dynamic when you?re working with larger terrain. It?s challenging, I love the experience, and constant education that takes place out there in the mountains.? Just came home from 1 month discovering the wonders of Japan where we had the luck to film 3 different edits in 3 different resorts of the Northern Island : Hokkaido. It's been a dream coming true to be able to ski that light fresh powder Niseko had to offer, we tried to film / ski and edit something different that we use you to, it is also the first time I produce a "backcountry edit" so I hope you'll have fun watching :) Cheers to those who make this possible : Volkl, Dakine, Oakley and GoPro. Thanks to the filmers for their unforgettable help : Melissa Coursol and Clement Chemello. Thoughts and prayers to the mini-camera that made it through my first days skiing until our last turns in Niseko, may you find peace and love in Japan.

When it comes to season edits people can get awfully critical about music choice, style, variety of tricks etc. and that includes me. But everyone's gotta remember that it's just skiing. Opinions and comments will be made and that's ok, you just can't take stuff too personally, at the end of the day we all love skiing and that's all that really matters. So to everyone out there who's thought about putting together an edit, either legit or on your cell-phone, do it! This is my self edit from 16/17 and ya there's a classic sketchy double for the ending shot. But for me it's my first one and there's a bit of a story to the jump: My buddy Taylor originally had the idea to check this gravel pit out for some creative skiing. There's a bunch of stuff you can do there but one mound of dirt just looked destined to be a jump. But when we tried it out we just couldn't get the speed. We decided to come back the following fall and see if we could move some dirt around to improve the jump and our speed issues. This cycle went on for the next 3 years and finally, this last winter it really started working. Both my friend Marley and I stomped doubles and showed the spot to a few other local riders. It was a good year for the gravel pit, little did we know it was the last year for our big jump. The gravel pit is actively used and big piles of waste concrete have been dumped right on the run in, so thats the end of that. And that's my jump story, thanks for reading! song: One More Tear to Cry - Mac DeMarco
