Meadow Lodge - Part 1: Eric Hjorleifson

by 4FRNT
Feb 2018 - 1.6K views

The only worthy roof for the talents of Eric Hjorleifson and Thayne Rich is in a backcountry touring hut, where life remains primitive and the skiing, well, radical. This is a complete 4FRNT adventure with great disparity between top talents, each driven to create content from alternating perspectives. What happens when you put the GAH poster boy (Hoji) in a hut with a rookie like Thayne? Does the puppy breathe life into the old dog? Does he fall in line, one kick turn at a time? The 2-part Meadow Lodge documents a 3-day adventure with Eric and Thayne in The Esplanades, an eastern sub range of The Columbia’s where the terrain flows east to the Columbia Rivers’ Kinbasket Lake. Enjoy the crafts of these two backcountry skiers as they literally ski from the door of Meadow Lodge down fluted spines, endless pillows and perfectly gladed tree runs. THIS IS HOME - Duncan Adams: Athlete Edit

by Faction
Jan 2018 - 1.8K views

Duncan Adams is every rider’s favourite rider. Whether it was gapping pillows in Montana, rocketing out of couloirs in Utah or stomping lap after lap in springtime Verbier, Dunc is the man when it comes to skiing fast, going huge and always having the airtime to tweak one of his signature shiftys. The Athlete Edit is a collection of Duncan’s best shots from THIS IS HOME, as well as some golden extras and banger b-shots that we just couldn’t fit in the final cut. Shot on Location: Flathead Valley, Montana, USA; Alta, Utah, USA; Wasatch Mountains, Utah, USA; Verbier, Switzerland. Ian Hamilton - Soft Landings

by Budh.ies
Jan 2018 - 9K views

Last year, after 10+ years of competing in Slopestyle, I switched my focus to backcountry jumping. It turned out to be a good choice. By the end of January it had snowed 300 inches in Utah and all the classic hits in Little Cottonwood Canyon were good to go. It was an unbelievable season, from sessions on Pyramid and Flagstaff gap, Catskiing at Fernie Wilderness Adventures to pondskimming and partying at Lost Trail Powder Mountain in the spring. I had more great times in the mountains with amazing humans than any other season and they're memories I'll never forget. Hope ya'll dig it and get stoked to shred!! WHERE TO SKI IN JAPAN As this is my third time going to Japan skiing. Skiing in Japan always delivers. Niseko is definitely worth a visit. There is so much deep powder to ski. The backcountry is very easy accesed. And the terrain is low Alpine and easy to ride. Going to Hokkaido, There is som much to chose from, If you want to explore other ski destinations you can easily do so.

"Mugen" Teaser

by jps-ee
Jan 2018 - 50 views

Mugen: Vast and endless. This applies to the culture, people, incredible food, terrain, sense of stoke, and of course, the seemingly infinite snowfall of Japan's Northern island. Despite the finite time slot in this land, the dream-like feeling of permanence permeated every turn and bite. Full-on flavor. Of course, these moments don't last forever. But sometimes, you really feel they should, or even could. Getting lost in these ephemeral moments is what we live for. Full edit dropping in the next couple weeks.

Resorted

With serious avalanche danger in the backcountry, the boys are deserted to the resort. Some might say they were "resorted". They still had great times blasting around Revelstoke mountain with their trusty gimbal in hand. Experience being resorted in Revelstoke!
