Line Sir Francis Bacon 2012

by Line_Skis
Sep 2011 - 1K views

POLLARD'S ONE SKI QUIVER The 2012 Line Sir Francis Bacon ski has been completely re-designed by Eric for a level of quickness & versatility previously considered impossible in this width, yet with enough float to be worthy of Pollard?s name. Its new break through lower Early Rise? tip geometry PLANES INSTEAD OF PLOWS in the pow, while the length of Early Taper? has actually been reduced vs. past years to put much more Active Edge? length in contact with the snow for MORE GRIP & LESS SLIP. The Bacon?s new smooth reliable flex pattern feels like an extension of your feet, literally carving on a dime as well as it can float in the powder. This is the next level of Pollard approved fun, for everywhere on the mountain.

March Madness at Alta with Colter Hinchliffe

by Line_Skis
Mar 2012 - 981 views

Its only March and we're finally skiing some legit pow! my favorite days have always been the stormy ones where it keeps getting deeper and no one is there but your buddies. Its good for my soul and its what winter means to me, and it almost always happens on Wildcat chair in Alta, UT. I/we hadn't gotten it this year till early march, and it was sick! my plans to move on immediately after the storm were changed when i got a last minute shoe into the Salt lake shoot out. things went well, I made some friends, had some great vibes and team dynamics, and we ended up with the gold to compliment our great images by "the legendary" Steve Lloyd. :) fun stuff. - Colter

Dub Tales Ep. 8 Just Skiing Along

by Line_Skis
Apr 2014 - 778 views

December and January were highlighted by persistent layers in our snowpack, but as things began to stabilize the storms started rolling in and the skiing was great. I spent a lot of days shooting photos with Jay Goodrich and video with KGB Productions, but managed a few relaxing solo days, or just shredding with friends. As February progressed, storm after storm slathered the mountain and it was obvious that "It" was "On", as people say. I took advantage of some soft landings and worked on one of my tricks, which I call "rolling down the windows". Feel free to use it on the dance floor. Alas, just as the big lines were really filling in, I went and tossed myself into my own bombhole and went splat. I skied out but could feel a little more play in my right knee than the left, which lead to a visit to the doctor...which lead to meeting my health insurance deductible...which lead to about 6 weeks off snow to let my MCL heal. Fortunately, it was only MCL and no surgery was necessary. I've been able to recover really well, which I certainly attribute to the physical therapy sessions at Excel PT here in Jackson. Now as I type this I'm looking a pile of gear that I'm packing up to make my first trip to Alaska. I got a call a few days ago to join a team from Dynafit and Backcountry.com and we're heading towards the promised land for some human powered ascents outside of Valdez...but let's save that for another episode! Thanks for watching, sharing, and commenting. To all my friends and sponsors, you're the freakin' best!
