Andrew's Team Page: http://lineskis.com/team/andrew-whiteford Last March a group of us from Jackson converged with friends from Colorado and headed north to the Fairy Meadow (aka Bill Putnam) Hut, located in the Adamant Mountains, British Columbia. A heli ride in and out allows for ample food and libations to be brought in to fuel skiers and snowboarders in exploring the incredible terrain. We were lucky to experience both deep and stable snow in addition to good weather. I didn't have as many Hero3 batteries, so the helmet cam shots were mostly 960p. I'm really excited to use the Hero3+ black this winter, it should help reduce the banding of colors that you can see in some low light shots. I brought some awesome gear and because of that never ran into any mechanical issues during the week. Pillow Smashing in BC // CMH Gothics

This January I was lucky enough to have Matador Network (dot com) to invite me up to Revelstoke and fly around smashing pillows for 3 and a half days. All the while staying in the luxurious Gothics lodge, a chapter of the Canadian Mountain Holidays heli skiing operation. Definitely some of the most incredible terrain and snow I've gotten to slide down, ever. Back in Tahoe 2

Rippin the Bowl - March 2016

March 14 & 15. From the POV of Derek Roy and Brett Huber. Two nights in a row of Skibowl at it's finest. I haven't ridden pow at Skibowl in about 2 years due to warm seasons and low snowfall, but this was worth the wait! All of Govy made it out to shralp the steep glades and fun cliff features in Upper Bowl. Being able to watch the huckery and listen to homies hoot and holler their way through the white room is way too rad. My abs were more sore from laughing than skiing. This is why I choose to live in Govy!

The Ski Bum Hiatus Edit

After I finished my degree in molecular biology I decided that I wanted to find adventure while I was still young. I packed up my car and drove from Illinois to Montana with everything I owned to do so. During my 2.5 year pre-graduate school "vacation", I bought a camera and filmed some of what I did. I skied, snowboarded, snowmobiled, mountain biked, rafted, para-glided, bridge/cliff jumped, boated, and much more.

HD: http://vimeo.com/8890339 This footage is just from a day at Snowbird UT testing out my new GoPro HD Camera and Chest Mount. I am trying to decide still how much I like the chest mount as compared to the helmet mount. It does allow you to see your skis and the horizon at the same time easier, but also looks weird whenever your arms raise above the level of the camera (dropping a cliff, etc.). Footage isn't great, mostly because I was testing the camera as well as frame rates. The HD on this camera looks awesome though for sure! My home network wasn't working when I threw this video together and there were about 10 random songs on my computer, I decided this one was as good as any. If anyone has some cool music that I could throw in an edit sometime let me know, would love some spanish guitar. More video to come. P.S. That day at the Bird was awesome! I was testing out the Lib Tech NAS Pow ReCURVE skis. A review will be posted on skijosh.com soon.
