"As far as REALLY big tricks off REALLY big airs in big mountain terrain, Dana Flahr is the guy, hands down" -Todd Jones The TGR crew was meeting in Vancouver, Dana Flahr had to hop on a bus at 2pm, but decided to take his chances and sled into the backcountry for a quick shred.
Back in March the boys and I drove out to Tahoe. We skied Kirkwood for most of the days and got to hit Northstar for one day. One the way back to CO we stopped in Park City for Gaper Day and it was wild to say the least. 'Twas an incredible trip with the best of people. I tried to capture that vibe in this edit. Hopefully it worked. Big ups to Weir for hosting us and filming in Northstar! Skiers in order of appearance: Alex Nolan, Jason Castle, Mikkel Hjort-Pedersen, Zach Ryan and Mark Whitaker
Thanks to ibuprofen, powder house ski shops, armada skis for giving me some old JJs when my gunsmokes broke, and all the friends and family who have made skiing so damn fun. Pray for snow!
The second stop of our road trip through British Columbia was a visit to our old friend Jon Whelan in Nelson. Even though we hadn't seen each other for 4 years it felt like no time had passed. Our friendship was renewed in the best way possible, 5 days straight of deep pow skiing. Whitewater is truly a paradise. With steep, challenging and playful terrain paired with tons of snow, you could spend years here and never tire of it. We had some of the best runs of our season in these 5 days and couldn't be more grateful to all the friends, old and new, that we got to share this time with. The WYLD web series will follow the lives of talented athletes and examine why they have come to the least populated state of Wyoming to pursue their outdoor careers. It will document the struggles and triumphs involved in chasing your dreams. Our goal is to bring a more relatable and personal experience to the viewer, while still showcasing the sport at its highest level.
Skiing flat light in rogers pass , just having a damn ball doing it.
The last three years i have had three major knee injuries. Adding up to a total of five surgeries, including one I'm going to have this January. This was my first season not skiing park in Minnesota and it was great! I skied a little urban, less park, and mostly big mountain at Snowbird. I can't wait until next season when I can clean everything up, go bigger and do some tricks!
Thanks to Patrick Brown for committing to film on amazing ski days. Also, thanks to everyone else who helped filming. This season was my first season away from Ski Racing, and it was my my best season yet! I didn't get to do as much filming as I would have liked to this season, but these are the shots I got from this past winter. Enjoy! Song: Time of The Season - The Zombies
Another amazing season based in Crested Butte, CO. Can't wait to get out there with the crew again! Special thanks to Jeremy Wallace for some sweet footage!
