This Winter, The Faction Collective Presents a three-part series following the team as they explore the corners of the world and the limits of freeskiing. From the mythic peaks of La Grave steeped in freeride history, to the quiet seclusion of a powder dreamland in British Columbia, and a spring-session in Ruka as the last rays of sun set on another unforgettable season. Wildly different locations, diverse expressions of skiing, but wherever the team went, they always found something special. While hanging out in Andorra waiting to compete in the 3rd FWT event of the 2018 season we had a bit of downtime to go out and rip! This is all from one day, where basically the whole FWT crew was out and absolutely sending. The energy was high and everyone was inspiring everyone else! Easy best day of the season.

Level 1's 18th annual feature film HABIT is available now in your favorite digital or hard copy format: level1productions.com/collections/movies/products/habit It’s never quite as easy as it looks in the movies. Even the best professional skiers regularly put their bodies through trials and tribulations in search of that elusive moment when it all comes together- the perfect light with the perfect snow, fingers finding the grab, edges locking onto a rail or ledge, speed perfectly dialed, and balanced feet finding their way to the ground as they prepare for landing. For every magical shot in your favorite film, edit, or photo, dozens or more hit the cutting room floor. In reality its a waiting game of hours, days, or weeks for light. The snow is harder than it looks. Grabs are often missed. Edges fail. Speed is off- too fast, too slow. That perfect balance point eludes even the most talented as they plummet to the ground below. Didn’t get the shot? No matter- pick up your gear and hike back up for another try. Or a few more. As many as it takes to get the shot or until you can break the habit.

Even tho the winter in the northern alps in europe sucked big time this year, there where places in the alps which where drowning in snow. The idea behind this project really is to show people the endless potential we have for skiing in europe. Just open your door or take your car and drive 2h and you will find some fresh snow for sure. We want to show people that you do not need a huge budget to produce some high quality skiing. We are just a group of friends putting our hearts and souls into this project to show YOU guys what really is possible in europe. With Sebi Schwertl we have one of the hottest upcoming filmers on board and we are stoked that he will put all his efforts into producing some high qualtiy ski webisodes for ur entertainment. In this episode we took our crew to Engadin, Switzerland, luckily we were able to stay at our friends place Silvia Flück, who lives right in the heart of beautiful Plan da Lej. We want to thank her big time for the hospitality and the great times. If u ever need a nice place to stay check out her appartements: grevasalvas.ch Song: Vance Joy - RipTide Riders: Dave Ortlieb, Jonas Hunziker, Roy Kittler, Sämi Ortlieb Big thanks to our sponsors Dakine and Line Skis without them this project would have never become reality. I hope you enjoy watching as much as we did enjoy our time producing this webisode

I had a wild time this season traveling on the FWQ circuit and getting dumped on almost every day at home in Tahoe. I had my season cut short by a few months this time around and did not really get a chance to do any filming, so here's what I was able to pull together from GoPros and iPhones. Enjoy! Huge thank you to Smith Optics, The North Face, GoPro, and Sugar Bowl Resort for your support over this past season. As always, shoutout to my amazing friends and family as well. Also, thanks to any and everyone who pointed a camera in my general direction this season (Aaron Fox, Ryan Faye, Trevor Tanhoff, Paul Gradeff, Tyler Curle, and more).
