Jackson Hole January Madness - The Teton Sessions Episode 1

Last Tuesday's surprise powder was followed by another 5" on Thursday and 6" on Friday, making for two fantastic days of skiing. Strong winds followed by warmer temperatures buffed out the mountain on Saturday, making for some funky skiing. Sunday was another storm day, with the resort picking up 8" and setting up what should have been an outstanding Monday morning. The weather gods, however weren't on the same page and coated the bottom half of the mountain with rain overnight. Rendezvous Bowl was still great this morning, but getting down the bottom half of the mountain was chaotic at times. And then mother nature decided to make amends by dropping 7" of blower pow for the today's last box. What a week! Here's a collection of clips from all of this. SnowChasers is a project produced by Film Maker Chris King out of Seattle,WA and Professional Skier Tyler Ceccanti out of Lake Tapps, WA. The goal of the web series is to show not only the skiing available in the Pacific Northwest but also the routine of a long winter in the eyes of a professional skier, and how hectic a schedule can be. Join us in the 1st episode as we hit the dry terrain parks of Summit-at-Snoqualmie and Stevens Pass in late December, the backcountry skiing of Japan, and finally some late season powder at Crystal Mountain, WA. On September 29th 2014, I lost my two best friends JP Auclair and Andreas Fransson in an avalanche on Monte San Lorenzo near the border of Chile and Argentina. It has now been one year since the accident. I created a film to celebrate and remember our lovely friends. This film is from our last years together where we skied, worked and had amazing adventures together. We went to Chamonix, Norway and Chile. Andreas, JP, Daniel Rönnbäck and I started a project together called, Apogée, which means ? The highest point in the developing of something. The project was Andreas and JP?s idea, travel to magnificent destinations and create beautiful, touching ski movies to inspire others around the world.
