Suns out guns out. High Pressure at Alta has called for some B&B action ( Building Booters) in the back country. Powders nice but sunny days have gave us some great opportunity to get real sendy. Sunday March 13th while skiing down grizzly I saw a dude building a jump alone so I decided to see if he needed help. We Built we sent We Conquered. Stomped my first ever double back flip and it felt so damn good.
Two days at Breckenridge, it was very windy and snowed the whole time but was still the trip of a lifetime. skiers, Joe LaCourse Tim Barrett and Noah Lorden. Enjoy
Pointing a line from the other day. You cant really tell from the angle but the first 50 feet is between two rockbands that tighten up to about 16 inches wide
It’s Alex’s birthday so without further ado, here is his season edit from the phenomenal winter of 16/17 Filmed by John Richter, Paul Richter, Zack Sefton, and Gary Collison Music by Black Sabbath S...
Watch Dash Longe's Powder TV interview as he talks about growing up in Lake Tahoe, filming for the first time with TGR in Salad Days and traveling all over to world for segments in places India, Corsica, Austria, Switzerland and France. As Dash describes, "Once I got on board with TGR it opened up this whole new opportunity of travel...I would probably never get the chance to go to [some of these places] if it wasn't for skiing."
Coming in at 4,138 vertical feet, the top-to-bottom run at Jackson Hole is a rite of passage for skiers (and their quads) everywhere. Dropping over twice the vertical of average ski runs in North America, this legendary descent features more kinds of terrain in one go than you can find on most mountains in an entire day. To put the GoPro HERO7 Black's new Hypersmooth technology to the test, TGR star Tim Durtschi just cranked a run featuring everything from the legendary Corbet's Couloir to mogul fields to pristine groomers. He didn't stop, he didn't use a gimbal, and the entire thing is so smooth it's almost enough to make you think you could do the same. Download the Newschoolers App! Song - Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark - A compilation of my favourite shots from the last season. My approach to editing is heavily influenced by skate videos. I used (almost) no slow motion or filler and no go pro footage. No Bullshit. Big thanks to everyone who filmed and helped me dig my sled out. Thanks to Iron Maiden for your music not only in the context of this edit, but also for giving me focus on skis all winter. Thanks to TMC, Lange and Faction for keeping me rolling. Thanks to Mom and Dad and K for unwavering support. See you on the hill. insta: @jacob_boyd http://underwhiteskies.ca
In Episode One the boys shred both inbounds and backcountry pillows, Peter gets after it on some alpine spines and Jacob stays at home and chills with a broken ankle.
Great day skiing at Kirkwood, Highway Chute and California Chute, about 4 hrs of hiking but one great day of side-country goodness. Thanks Bryce and Brian for relocating from RI to Lake Tahoe!!! My first edit, sorry N Lake first was in the South- had to leave my home Mts. of Squaw and Alpine, hope you all enjoy, more to come!
First run on the Salomon Rockers down Fields of Glory on a deep day!
After returning from the attempted FWT event in Hakuba, Japan (which unfortunately didn't run due to weather and snow conditions) Yann Rausis and me headed back to Revelstoke to hit some pow, pillows and big drops with short trannys, before cruising over to Kicking Horse for FWT stop two (plus the restaged Hakuba event) We managed to time our arrival perfectly with the first big storm in a while, and had a hell of a time! All the GoPro shots are from my head. Yann is the guy in the blue pants and jacket and I am rocking the Orange and Blue https://www.instagram.com/sam_ibex_lee/ https://www.facebook.com/SamLeeFreerider/ The tune in this video is another that I put together, you can check it out on my SoundCloud - https://soundcloud.com/oam-the-seagull/hoke-okay
