After returning from the attempted FWT event in Hakuba, Japan (which unfortunately didn't run due to weather and snow conditions) Yann Rausis and me headed back to Revelstoke to hit some pow, pillows and big drops with short trannys, before cruising over to Kicking Horse for FWT stop two (plus the restaged Hakuba event) We managed to time our arrival perfectly with the first big storm in a while, and had a hell of a time! All the GoPro shots are from my head. Tried about 15 times to upload this, but it kept failing so embedded from Youtube. This is was a senior class project for VMS class of 1984. It was filmed on super 8. Note worthy things in this video are an almost skied out 10 attempted on 223 CM downhill skis and several attempts at a front full which look more like cork 7's.
This was my first year skiing the Wasatch and mainly Snowbird and it was epic. Stoked for this next year to step it up and learn some new stuff! Big thanks to Alex Mager for the awesome editing!
Highlights from my season when I had the GoPro rolling
Even tho the winter in the northern alps in europe sucked big time this year, there where places in the alps which where drowning in snow. The idea behind this project really is to show people the endless potential we have for skiing in europe. Just open your door or take your car and drive 2h and you will find some fresh snow for sure. We want to show people that you do not need a huge budget to produce some high quality skiing. We are just a group of friends putting our hearts and souls into this project to show YOU guys what really is possible in europe. With Sebi Schwertl we have one of the hottest upcoming filmers on board and we are stoked that he will put all his efforts into producing some high qualtiy ski webisodes for ur entertainment. In this episode we took our crew to Engadin, Switzerland, luckily we were able to stay at our friends place Silvia Flück, who lives right in the heart of beautiful Plan da Lej. We want to thank her big time for the hospitality and the great times.
