In season 6 episode 5 of Teton Gravity Research?s Behind The Line, our heli pilot along with athletes Sammy Carlson, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Angel Collinson and Ian McIntosh redefine what?s possible in skiing. For the past decade, pilot Tighe Daugherty, has helped the athletes reach new and daunting terrain in Alaska. With an emphasis on safety, Daugherty?s skills as a pilot serve as a catalyst for our athlete?s creativity, enabling them to explore beyond their comfort zone and secure gnarly first descents. Here the crew ventures into the Cathedral Zone, an area deep in the Neacola Mountains. Behind the Line is a series that takes you into the minds of the TGR athletes. Each episode features a unique line, jump, or session as athletes take a look back and discuss the moment. The series gives you an in depth look Behind The Line of these incredible film moments. With the snow nearly nonexistent in Utah we took matters into our own hands and rolled the dice. While Silverton had more snow we had no idea what we were actually going to be in for. With zero support except our sleds and each other we headed to 12,000ft and set up operations. We got lucky when a storm rolled in blanketing the mountains and leaving us unsure as to whether we would be able to make it out due to slides. Here is our story. For the first time in forever Fort Lewis College cancelled all classes because of large amounts of snow... meaning epic pow day at Purgatory. Ripping trees and sending cliffs.
A few mellow spring laps off my favorite chair. Who needs good snow to have fun?
I have become really addicted to the process, raping instagram/blogs for beta, scouting, and then executing. It brings great pleasure to my cold black heart.
In episode 4 of Kootenay Influence we wander around in powland, also know as Revelstoke slackcountry. We had a ton of fun doing this episode and a big thanks to Jayden for putting us up for the week!
