EP 2: The Strike

by LUB
Dec 2011 - 790 views

With the snow nearly nonexistent in Utah we took matters into our own hands and rolled the dice. While Silverton had more snow we had no idea what we were actually going to be in for. With zero support except our sleds and each other we headed to 12,000ft and set up operations. We got lucky when a storm rolled in blanketing the mountains and leaving us unsure as to whether we would be able to make it out due to slides. Here is our story. Dec 2011 - 383 views

After going from no snow to a 29" base and a 81" season total in what seemed like a matter of days, Jackson Hole opened its lifts to 3,000 vertical feet of skiing this past weekend under bluebird skies. While it's still pretty thin and there's plenty of terrain still to be opened, it was a great start to hopefully a great season. GPSYfeelin CUT N°30 Omnibus South America

by gpsyfeelin
Dec 2011 - 4.6K views

Gpsy Feelin invite you to join them on an epic adventure to Chile and Argentina, filmed during the summer of 2011.    The story is simple. With the summer in the Alps in full effect, Leo Taillefer was working hard to fund his winter season, dreaming constantly of fresh powder and distant horizons...   After some discussion with Robin Romera, an avid photographer and skier, together they concocted a  plan for a last-minute trip to South America. After very little preparation, and in a whirlwind of intense enthusiasm and eager anticipation, their journey began. Upon arriving in Santiago, Leo and Robin met two very good friends of theirs, Franck Bigourdan and Simon Lagran, and a freakin? awesome foursome was born. Their ambitions were clear from the start : ride hard and pursue the powder. Their quest to conquer South America and its monstrous mountain range, The Andes, had begun. So began two months of shooting in Chile and Argentina. They hit most of the major spots including El Colorado, Portillo, Las Lenas, Barrilotche, Chapelco and Thermas de Chilian... The beauty of each spot was breathtaking and whether it was good fortune or just good timing, the snow conditions were phenomenal... But that's quite enough talk; the images speak for themselves.   Here are some of the best moments of an incredible journey... ENJOY!
