?What is your dream trip? When I saw Malibu Club up a remote fjord on the coast of BC Canada for the first time 6 years ago, and the sheer majesty of the peaks surrounding it, my dream trip came together in my head in an instant. I imagined staying at this amazing lodge with friends and family, having our own private helicopter parked outside on the lawn ready to take us into the mountains to explore and ski, and a boat to play with on the ocean. This past winter, my dream became a reality as my friend Willie Goldman, my wife Tessa and son Kasper joined me for one amazing tale, 'Malibu Fable'.?
Summary of my 2013/14 season filmed in the Whistler BC, Revelstoke BC and Cooke City MT. Thanks to my family, the crew and filmers Scott Titterington, Will Drake and Kelsey Clarke. I'd also like to thank Surface skis, Surefoot Whistler and OBC for their support.
Song: Girls with Accents - Fences The song used kind of describes how I feel about this last ski season. Being around a pretty girl (skiing everyday) is always nice, but if you're not sure what you're doing and don't commit to your goals and ideals, you end up unsatisfied. I had a damn good time and I appreciate everyone who helped me out, but next year is going to be beautiful feat after which my past will pale in comparison. Look out. Thanks to all those who filmed me: Jackpot Photo, Dylan Siggers, and my friend Jack who shared one hell of a March with me.
Fifty seconds of dork: all the noises made during my season edit
Epilepsy Warning! Shredding pow on a couple of lunch breaks at work
Self edit I made from last season. Missed pre-season last year but got after in from January - June of 2014. Most of the shots are from Colorado. Just about ALL of my touring footage is being used for Noridca's webisodes which will be coming out in 2015 produced my Micheal Martin Productions (http://www.skifaqtory.com ) so stay tuned!
Two powder days that I had off work last season at Breck. All gopro helmet mount since I was alone. Lots of good snow and fun new lines.
We are getting so stoked to kick off winter. We decided to throw it back to our friend Peyton catching some pow turns during one of our many epic snow falls last season.
Heavy sun and low snow has left Valle Nevado ski area reduced to bare rock, a lost season. Lifts shut down and skiers flee towards Santiago in droves. Hot tubs and pisco prevail for the DPS crew. But one morning they awake to find condors filling the sky--scavenging to prepare for an oncoming storm. While the resort hunkers down and weathers the whiteout, they disappear into clouds that boil with a meter of snow. The desert becomes an ethereal sanctuary, dissolving into the sky.

It was a fun year in the big mountain but unfortunately the footage we previously had was lost so we scrambled up all we could from instagram to put this together.

Flat Hardpack Landing 1 - GoPro 0
Enjoy the buttery style of TGR athlete Nick McNutt in this week?s Sony Mind?s Eye. McNutt burst onto the scene this year with one of the most talked about segments from TGR?s award winning film Almost Ablaze. He captivated the freeride community with uncanny ability to land switch in deep pow off huge features. The Whistler based skier was nominated for ?Best Male Freeride Segment? and ?Rookie of the Year? at this year?s IF3 Awards, taking home the hardware in the later category. In this edit McNutt overwhelms the senses with wicked nose butters, tree taps, and those infamous deep pow switch landings. We at TGR are psyched to showcase one of the most exciting talents in free skiing and can?t wait to see what the future hold for this hard charger.
