It was raining out so I decided to go out with my friend and film some random stuff with my 550d and new sigma 28mm wide angle f 1.8 lens. We just played around with shots of him walking in and out of frame with a mix of long, medium, and closeup shots. Hope you like it. Lens: Sigma 28mm Wide Angle Lens f 1.8
This was from when I worked with Heffy and Bentley Atteberry from DOS Media for our movie Collab. Heffs segment starts at 1:50...He always had a smile on his face and was determined to get the shot. Heff you will be missed tremendously. May you Ski in Peace!!!
Heres some footage of Jaron Stadler shredding this early season at Copper and Keystone!!!
Here are some shots that Lupe and I have come up with between the early November and early December
This is some of the urban ski footage Ive gathered over the year. Ive done work for Inspired Media, Level 1 Productions, Jibberish Clothing, Stept Productions, Traveling Circus, D.O.S Media, and myself. Hope you like it. Riders include Tanner Hall, Lupe Hagearty, Taylor Seaton, Will Wesson, Matt Heffernan, Will Berman, Nick Martini, Mike Hornbeck, Jon Brogan, Liam Downey, Corey Roberts, John Strenio, Chappy Geer, Cam McDermid, and Jaron Stadler.
Here are some extra shots I gathered of Matt Luczkow, Tony Seibert, and friends over Christmas week at Vail!!!
Kellan Baker and I spent some time filming around Summit County this season. We started out filming early season at Keystone and also spent some time at Breckenridge. We jumped around the two off and on throughout the season. This video is edited in chronological order of the days that we linked up.
Here is my movie I made back in 2006 when I was known for the ATA Films edits. Beyond the Bunny Hill features some of the best up and coming athletes. Some of them have come a long way from the years of being an amateur. The movie features Matt Walker, Ian Cosco, John Spriggs, Matt Terral, Junior Martinez, Jon Shares (Dj Shares), David Lesh (First Drop Outerwear), Matt Luczkow, Nate Berkel, Henrik Lampert, Tony Seibert, Andrew Wickes, Charlie Lasser, and Jon Lafferty. Shot on location at Aspen, Snowmass, Buttermilk, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Timberline, and Snow Park New Zealand.
Heres the opening segment from my 2006 film Beyond the Bunny Hill. Matt Walker killing it back in the day.
After three years of not filming skiing I decided to go through old footage and found Mike Hornbeck and Ahmet Dadali and decided to make an oldschool La Familia Edit!!! I have missed making ski edits and plan on making a return this winter!!! More to come!!! Sorry for double post...Video link was screwed up...
Jaron Stadler and I linked up this winter at Woodward Copper and A51 at Keystone to get some filming done. Here is some of the footage we came up with.
I know I just added a video of Ahmet and Hornbeck last night but I found an edit that I made back in 2007 that has more rail tricks done by them so I uploaded this and deleted the other. It includes some real tech rail tricks done by Carlson, Hornbeck, and Ahmet that even today would be sick. Its amazing how sick they were even back in 2007.
I haven't met many people as obsessed with candy as Derek Simpson. Whenever we're out there he's either scarfing down one of his favorite types of candy or raving about a new candy he found. In the end, we decided to make a 2018/2019 ski edit with a theme around sugar, so here is Sugar Coated.
Over the last week or so I have been filming time lapses of ice cubes melting in different formations. Each time it took anywhere from 3 to 6 hours for the glasses of ice to melt completely. While shooting this I faced some technical difficulties with camera equipment and my Canon T2i is now in the shop for the next 4 to 12 weeks unfortunately. That cut the shoot down some but I think its a blessing in disguise to make the edit shorter. Hope you like it. Filmed/Edited by Scott Klumb
I spent the morning filming on the big line of jumps in Keystones A51 Terrain Park. Here are some shots I got of Tom Wallisch, PK Hunder, and Andreas Hatveit. I showed up early in the morning before most of the riders and decided to try something new by filming a time-lapse of the park up top and mixing it in with the athlete's drop in. It was a crowded day in the park so I only filmed for a couple of hours. Hope you like it.
Im looking forward to being back this winter filming skiing and winter timelapses. Here is what I came up with this past winter down in Orlando. Hope you like it
First month being back in Colorado. Here are some of the time-lapses I have acquired in Boulder, Golden, and Vail. Hope you like it.
An afternoon spent up on Flagstaff in Boulder Colorado. My friend Jon and I went bouldering and here is the footage that I came up with. This is my first time filming rock climbing and I tried bringing my editing style from ski movies and time-lapse videos to something new. Shot on a Panasonic HVX200 and Canon Rebel T2i
Here are two of Krazy Karl's segments from D.O.S. Medias Collab in 2010 when he was relatively unknown and borrowing skis to help film for his banger park and urban/back country segments!!!
Here is a compilation of time-lapses that I have filmed in Boulder this summer. I filmed the Flat Irons mountains, along Highway 36, Boulder Falls, Boulder Creek, as well as the moon and stars. A Glidetrack Hybrid slider system was used for the waterfall shots to add some movement to the foreground. Shot on a Canon Rebel T2i and Panasonic HVX200.
Footage that I gathered years ago and decided to make an edit too. I lived in Florida for a year and am now back in Colorado, hoping to get back into filming skiing.
This is some of the urban ski footage Ive gathered over the years. Ive done work for Inspired Media, Level 1 Productions, Jibberish Clothing, Stept Productions, Traveling Circus, D.O.S Media, and myself. Riders include Tanner Hall, Lupe Hagearty, Taylor Seaton, Will Wesson, Matt Heffernan, Will Berman, Nick Martini, Mike Hornbeck, Jon Brogan, Liam Downey, Corey Roberts, John Strenio, Chappy Geer, Cam McDermid, Weston Charlesworth, and Jaron Stadler.
Scott Nelson and I linked up a lot this summer to gather as much footage as possible from Woodward's Big Island Park. Each weekend the park crew would rearrange the features so there was always something new to film. Here is some of the footage we came up with for our final edit.
The colors around Boulder Colorado have been extraordinary this year and I took full advantage of the beautiful colors and filmed as many time-lapses as possible around the Boulder area until I was more then content with what I captured.
Tanner Hall, Lupe Hagearty, Taylor Seaton, and I filmed a lot together during last years early season skiing at Woodward at Copper. Here is a little remix of the edit I made last year just to a different song. Hope you like it.
Mike Hornbeck and Joe Mango skiing at Keystone in late January early February 6 years ago.
It was a great winter in sunny Colorado. I got to film with some great riders/friends throughout the 2013/2014 ski season. Filming ranged from the back country, terrain park, and the streets.
This was Tony Seibert's segment from my 2006 movie Beyond the Bunny Hill. I miss you soooooo much buddy, may you R.I.P.
I filmed with Willis Brown on the new rail features at Keystone on December 15, 2011. Here is what we came up with after hiking and filming a few features for a couple of hours. Willis and I will be coming up with edits all season and we hope to hit up the back country as soon as it dumps.
THROWBACK!!! This was another project I worked on for Inspired Media. It was the second episode of Winter Jungle during the 2013/2014 ski season.
This December I filmed a variety of shots to capture my families Christmas. I filmed a variety of Time-Lapses consisting of decorating the tree, putting up Christmas lights, shadows changing on the house and aspen trees, and opening gifts. I picked a Christmas song that was upbeat to make the video more fun in my eyes, and it complements the Time-Lapses in the way that everything is fast paced. I hope you enjoy it and please let me know what you think as well as share it with your friends if you like it.
