Saga TV brings you, Andy Partridge from session 4 at Windells Camp. Andy traveled to Oregon for a week to stay at the Sagafam house and ride the summer lane on the Palmer snowfield. We teamed up with Evan Heath Visuals to catch a glimpse of Partridge's vast wealth of skill and style on-hill that far surpasses his age. Mt. Hood summer skiing will leave even the most seasoned veterans scratching their heads when it comes to what to wear. One minute it will be cloudy and windy, the next blazing sun and slush. YLESKI 2015 is the culmination of Wiley Miller?s 2015 winter season. Shot almost exclusively in the Columbia Mountains of interior British Columbia. The winter of 2015 was adverse in many areas of North America. Finding good conditions remained challenging. Patience, and persistence was key in finding safe, suitable snowpack. This is the second installment to the YLESKI series, highlighting the best of Wiley Miller and his approach to snow. ?I set out this winter to spend my time exploring new mountains, scouting lines, and finding natural airs in the terrain to work with. This season ski touring, route finding, and line selection were set in priority above building jumps and locating step-downs. It was an alternative I decided to take when the snow started to fly in November of 2014. I set out to do more skiing and less building, setting up-tracks versus cutting blocks for jumps. The sport becomes so dynamic when you?re working with larger terrain. It?s challenging, I love the experience, and constant education that takes place out there in the mountains.? Spent a few short hours on a medium sized jump at Windells filming the SagaFam
Last November Tim Durtschi, Jermey Estorga and the Saga media team left Salt Lake City and hit the road with Mt. Baker, WA in their sights. The goal of the trip, take advantage of the copious early season PNW snowfall. After 15+ hours on the road they finally made it to the promise land and were met with a heavy early season storm that lasted for all 7 days they were there. During the trip the team was able to capture media for the 13/14 Cook Book. What was truly inspiring about the trip was the cohesiveness between the two sides of the #sagafam team, Durtschi and Estorga worked together creating media and fueling each other to look at the mountain through a different lens.
