Pre-Order the DVD: skitheeast.net/shop/category/Movies Never let the weather get you down. Despite the East Coast's record-breaking mild winter of 2012, the Meathead crew still managed to sniff out the goods. Fighting low snowfall and mid-summer temps, they hurled themselves off buildings, bashed icy moguls, and plowed through some of the deepest Eastern powder ever filmed. Join their quest from Vermont to Quebec, including their first ever journey across the pond to Switzerland. In classic East Coast style, Meathead Films overcomes many a struggle and keeps things entertaining, No Matter What.
Nicky Hartmann, Sam Gnoza, and Zach Masi Take on brisk day at Sugarbush Parks.
Last February, the Mid-Atlantic region received a three-foot snowfall followed a few days later by another two-foot dump, something that's never happened in recorded weather history there. Naturally, the Meatheads were following these biblical events closely and gathered an urban shred crew of Andy Parry, Shea Flynn and Will Wesson to look for skiable terrain. Shooting freeskiing in downtown DC is no easy task. Sneaking around with generators, winches, gasoline, cords, lights, tripods and camera equipment is virtually impossible with guards and police all over the National Mall area. However, with the insane blizzard having turned downtown into a virtual post-apocalyptic zone, the athletes were able to find the goods and (mostly) stay out of trouble. America truly is the greatest.
It was a fairly lackluster winter for the Meatheads' home mountain of Stowe, Vermont, but this crew knows where to find the stashes when it counts. They took advantage of the infrequent storms that blew through the area, and as anyone who has skied Stowe with a seasoned local knows, it doesn't take a lot of snow to make the woods shredable. Longtime Stowe ripper Jay Bowen led the charge along with Dan Marion and Stacey Rachdorf. Care to sample some sidecountry?
Neo - new, modified A fresh crop of up-and-coming skiers joined with Meathead Films for the 2013 season. From gnarled trees to crisply shaped parks, Neo showcases this new talent that the East has to offer. Tag along with the Meatheads for their 12th winter and their first ever online exclusive movie series. New crew, new format, same great meaty flavor: Neo. First Episode Coming December 2013 Neo episodes will be released on SkiTheEast.net here: skitheeast.net/category/tv/meathead-films/neo/
The finale episode for the 2013 Carinthia Superpark... the best skiers from around the East Coast send it off a 70 ft. booter at Mount Snow, VT. A choice way to close out the season in late April.

With the continuation of our Mount Snow/Carinthia Superpark shoot in April, the skiers set up some unique rail features to session. Jamie Ficco gets nicked in the back with a BB gun but still manages to through down on the burly quad kink and the gap-to-wave-rail allows for some sick variations. The wrecking ball was lead carinthia parks guru, Day Franzen's brainchild. And although it closely resembles Miley Cyrus's swing into infamy, this was actually set up months before that video ever came out. Therefore you won't see anyone swinging naked from it... sorry. Special Thanks to: Day Franzen, Dave Meeker, Mount Snow, Carinthia Parks Crew, the liftees and everyone else who helped out!
Last April, Ski The East and Meathead Films invited the best up-and-coming Eastern skiers to a Superpark shoot at Carinthia - Mount Snow. In this first of three Carinthia episodes the crew slays the custom built step-up jump... and in true Meathead fashion, even manages to bring home some venison for dinner.
With winter on the way out, the crew headed to southern Vermont for some slushy laps at Mount Snow.

In this first episode, Ben Leoni explains his motivations for starting the project and why the hell a certified ski bum decided to become a hard working attorney. With friends tagging along he endures the highs and lows of Eastern skiing: ice, wind, rain, and the occasional "perfect" day, all while hiking and shredding down the steepest, most iconic backcountry location in the region: Tuckerman Ravine, Mount Washington, NH.
Longtime Meathead Films veteran, Ben Leoni, is now living in Portland, Maine, holding down a career and the daily office grind. In between piles of paperwork, he dreams of his weekends in the mountains. Last season he made those dreams a reality. Ben spent the winter of 2013 skiing the Northeast without the aid of chairlifts. Showcasing legendary backcountry zones as well as hidden gems around New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine, "Working For The Weekend" is a groundbreaking new web series and the first of its kind in the region. From deep powder to treacherous ice, Ben and his crew of friends embody the "earn your turns" mantra for the East Coast.
