We set out to Japan this February to film the famous blower pow. No plan, just flights and a van. To our dismay, Japan had been unusually dry this season. Finding snow was exhausting and not the easiest, but the trip was unforgettable. Shout out to Lawson's convenience store.
I did a full walk through of the ski factory to show you how we build J skis from beginning to end https://jskis.com/skis

Some foolish skiing I did over three days last spring break... skrrt...
Suns out guns out. High Pressure at Alta has called for some B&B action ( Building Booters) in the back country. Powders nice but sunny days have gave us some great opportunity to get real sendy. Sunday March 13th while skiing down grizzly I saw a dude building a jump alone so I decided to see if he needed help. We Built we sent We Conquered. Stomped my first ever double back flip and it felt so damn good.
Ignore the scratch on some of the shots, the lens got banged up. www.ascentcinema.com Special thanks to Grant Whitty!

YLESKI 2015 is the culmination of Wiley Miller?s 2015 winter season. Shot almost exclusively in the Columbia Mountains of interior British Columbia. The winter of 2015 was adverse in many areas of North America. Finding good conditions remained challenging. Patience, and persistence was key in finding safe, suitable snowpack. This is the second installment to the YLESKI series, highlighting the best of Wiley Miller and his approach to snow. ?I set out this winter to spend my time exploring new mountains, scouting lines, and finding natural airs in the terrain to work with. This season ski touring, route finding, and line selection were set in priority above building jumps and locating step-downs. It was an alternative I decided to take when the snow started to fly in November of 2014. I set out to do more skiing and less building, setting up-tracks versus cutting blocks for jumps. The sport becomes so dynamic when you?re working with larger terrain. It?s challenging, I love the experience, and constant education that takes place out there in the mountains.? For the first time ever, our winter schedules weren't jam packed with Slopestyle contests. Dean focused on big air this season and Ian switched to backcountry jumping and powder shredding. With some open time in the middle of the winter, Ian decided to roadtrip through BC for a month, ending in Whistler and visiting friends along the way. First stop was Revelstoke to visit some old friends who hadn't skied together in 8 years. The snow wasn't epic but we had a blast anyways, shredding moguls, groomers, park, and everything in between. This trip was a return to the basic reason why we started skiing in the first place. To ski with the sole purpose of having a grand ole time. It was week of laughing, hooting, hollering and all around merry making. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
