First snow and pizza: September 9th, 2016
A series of wet storms rolled through with a cold front, and I started wondering what it was looking like up high in Glacier National Park. Threw some pizza in my pack and went to have a look.

Within the window of winter, I've seen the seasons of my skiing change. Spring zipper lines through the moguls threaded into the the slush of the terrain park. Switchbacks and skin tracks joined the chorus of turns going down. Crampons and ropes have tied me in as the angle pushed steeper. And as my skiing has broadened, so has my love for that diversity. Up, down, rails, jumps, emerging from a powder cloud long enough to take a breath: it's a lucky thing to find such a wide avenue to joy. Peaks, parks, powder--it's time to get down.

A few Gopro shots of shredding around the Stevens slackcountry.
