Trollhaugen : Human Being : Jubilant - Ep 7.LDOH, Vol 3 - 2018/19

May 2019 - 948 views

Last Day On Hill - A state of mind. A state of existence. A state of stoke. Last day on hill is an experience the uninitiated couldn't' possibly understand. Why do we wait in anticipation for the end? Not because we want it over.... it's because we know that it is. We want to make it last forever, and the way we do that is through memory. Through moments. Through... being.... last day on hill. Thanks for everything! Film/Edit - Nick Schoess Alex young with the additional filming Song is Highway Tune by Greta Van Fleet Skiers are all the homies.

Trollhaugen : Human Being : Precise - Ep 7, Vol 3 - 2018/19

Precision: A term typically bestowed upon the engineering of luxury cars, high-end electronics, and chemical formulations. So how could an imperfect human's actions be described as precise? By what metric, standard, or baseline would we measure the precise execution of maneuvers in relation to their relative impact on stoke? PxS=I2, or S=PxI2, or even the perception of P2=SI2? Precision being it's own stoke multiplier provides precisely the correct ratio of fuel for fun, fantastic feats and fearless functions. This slightly less than precise description, having previously been used in a moderately varied and thus precisely imprecise exact quote becomes it's own stoke transmutater, as a classic example similar to transforming human precision, in it's imperfection, into patterns perceived perfectly precise. So ponder for a moment, are these maneuvers precise due to their precision, or is their precision found in the precise achievement of a, or rather the, reaction they previously targeted to evoke, with which they, in my humble opinion, succeed precisely. And precisely why then, if top the tater is so delicious on potatoes and their fried & chipped counterparts, does nary a potato chip company offer a top the tater flavor. I've seen pepperocini & vineger, sour pickle, and even peanut butter, but not a tater topped, and I dare say, were they to, the satisfaction to the senses would be precisely similar to the satisfaction and the stoke experienced via the indulgence of Episode 7, Volume 3 - Human Being : Precise. Trollhaugen : Human Being : UNPHASED - Ep 6, Vol 3 - 2018/19

What does it mean for a human to be unphased? To exist, respond, and act in the absence of phase, or rather, to have once been existentially phased, and then through some turn of events, series of experiences, or bending of space, time, and/or the natural state of being, having had the effects of phase removed? While the application of the principles of chemistry, simple classification (or the absence therein), or the actual act thereof could apply, it seems the utilization of the definition in physics, with a verb chaser, seems most appropriate. If phase is the relationship in time between the successive states or cycles of an oscillating or repeating system (such as an alternating electric current or a light or sound wave) and either a fixed reference point or the states or cycles of another system with which it may or may not be in synchrony, than these humans operate so that, by their circumstances and situations, they find themselves executing maneuverings without regard for external influence or obstacle. They are, put simply, unphased. Trollhaugen : Human Being : Reckless - Ep 4, Vol 1 - 2016/17

by Trollhaugen
Feb 2017 - 18K views

There's this moment in the season. It doesn't occur on the same day each year. Or in the same month. You may not even realize when it happens. Then, seemingly suddenly, the comfort and confidence and crazy collide into the most amazing park maneuvers imaginable. The cobwebs are gone. The foundation is solid. It is the time of the reckless. Fortunately, Troll's freeski filming maverick Nick Schoess was there to capture the tipping point. __________________________________________________________ Film: Nick Schoess Additional Filming: Robbie Weides Edit: Nick Schoess Music: Preacher- Dead Poet Society, Guinesses- MF DOOM Skiing: Matt Krohn, Kian Barrett, Ben Neeson, Courtney Osborn, Ken-Dozer, Sam Lobinsky, Mike Kennedy, David Duea, Matt Wunderlich, Ben Zins Special Thanks: Dave Sutton, Trollhaugen, Robbie Weides, Troll Park Crew, J-LO, Valerie Weekes, The Stuga, Pinewskis Ski and Boardshop, Aaron Hunter, Cory Pinewski, THETRAINPARK, Newschoolers, Karl Bekkala, Midstate Camera Repair, Mom/Dad, and every single one of you out there with us.

There's something about February. The rhythm of the season is in full swing. Everyone's comfortable on the snow. The park sets start to get weird, as the amount of available snow and creative juice levels rise daily. These are Trollhaugen human beings in their natural habitat, and they brought some friends along to coordinate. And they are coordinated. Agility. Harmony. Friendship. Trickery. Filming. Whichever definition you choose means little to your eyeballs. Coordinate your vision with the screen. Coordinate your tips with the volume dial. Coordinate your high-fives with filmer/editor Nick Schoess. Enjoy Trollhaugen Human Being: Coordinated.
