The Copper Mountain ski resort in Colorado knows how to ring in the Thanksgiving holiday with style. On Friday, November 27th, (the day after turkey day) they're hosting the 8th annual Leftover Yam Jam. It's a free, open rail jam in the Eagle Jib Park.
Get ready for a season full of snow days! With a foot of fresh snow in the last four days, Copper is scheduled to open for the winter season on Friday, November 6, with top to bottom skiing and riding.
On Monday, October 19, Copper opened our fall race camps, once again welcoming ski and snowboard race teams from around the country and the globe for the best high alpine training available. Keep an eye out for local and US-based teams such as Team Summit and the US Ski team, as well as national teams from Sweden, Italy, Japan, Australia, and many others, as they prepare for the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.
