“Bodybuilders’ World” is a curious project by Belgian photographer Kurt Stallaert featuring digitally altered photos that combine the muscular bodies of bodybuilders with the youthful faces of children. At first glance they might look like ordinary portraits, but look a little closer and you’ll see that things look very wrong. A Glimpse Inside the Lunar Orbiter Image Recovery Project

Jul 13th 2012 - 0 comments

There’s an abandoned McDonalds in California that’s stuffed with 48,000 pounds of 70mm tape. These tapes contain never-before-seen ultra-high-res photographs of the moon shot by the Lunar Orbiter project 40 years ago. Rather than ship the film back to Earth, the spaceships scanned them, beamed them back losslessly, and then recorded the data to magnetic [...]

Leica Rumors has published two small images showing what may be Leica’s followup to its M9 rangefinder: the Leica M10. The camera in the photos appears to have a larger screen than the M8/M9, and is being held in a manner that suggests that it has autofocusing and live view. For comparison, here’s a photo [...]

Every year, ESPN releases a special Body Issue in which athletes pose nude — an edgy, artful response to Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue that focuses instead on the power and form of athletes’ bodies. Last summer, a sports writer stripped down for an interview with two NHL players, a turning of the tables on sometimes [...]

A Guest Post from Tom Bricker from DisneyTouristBlog.com As most landscape photographers probably know, neutral density filters reduce the intensity of light reaching the lens, to allow longer shutter speeds or larger apertures. Think of them as sunglasses for your lens. While these filters have long been used for landscape photography, they aren?t typically considered [...]Post originally from: Digital Photography Tips. Five Hour Friday: Week 14

by TheSkiMonster
Jul 13th 2012 - 0 comments

This week we have three DJ's in the post from our home base Boston.  Always stoked to represent the hometown talent. Miami Ski Team released this just in time, literally an hour ago and I just got done listening to it.  This mix is hot off the press. Boston's DJ Influence just put out another mix last night, Something Different Volume II.  Something Different is an indie mix of all of his favorite songs.  Driving Music. Another Boston DJ, Jesse Jess, just released the 3rd edition of his Dirty 130's mixtape series.  Interesting thing about this one is many of the tracks aren't in the 130s. hmmmmmmm Clinton Sparks put out his Awesome Mixtape number three this week and it's dope, play it at your party tonight. DJ The Chad put this out last month, and I'm just discovering it now.  Click Play.
