Season spent cruising around Keystone and Breckenridge in between class days, with a week trip for nationals where CUFST travelled back to Lake Placid NY for USCSA nationals and took 1st! Also had the chance to hit this DFD in Boulder that a buddy had found on googlemaps, buena ondas! Crashing in Whistler - It's a realistic part of what we're about on our paths to radness.
I don't mean to rip too hard on patrol or anything, they obviously do a lot to keep us safe on the mountain, but I thought it was pretty ironic that me, a very experienced and controlled skier, got called out, and while he was chewing me out for something pretty insignificant (and hardly dangerous), some gaper comes up and blindsides me. Maybe they should focus a bit more on those who are actually a threat to ski safety, rather than just calling the big dogs out because we're skiing a bit more aggressively (and safely).
