Oscar Weary is a tough act to follow. We do the best we can and call it Real ! My aim is a bit off, but the lap is on! Be Smart. Make a Plan Every Time!
Derek and I linked up the other day and filmed at Keystone's A51 Terrain Park. He said it was one of the best days of skiing park he's had in a long time and I would have to say it was one of my best days of filming park all season because of how hard he threw down and the good times we had. And what a better day to have that happen on then his 21st Birthday. Needless to say we stacked a lot of clips for a days worth of filming and decided to put this edit together.
Level 1's 18th annual feature film HABIT is available now in your favorite digital or hard copy format: level1productions.com/collections/movies/products/habit It’s never quite as easy as it looks in the movies. Even the best professional skiers regularly put their bodies through trials and tribulations in search of that elusive moment when it all comes together- the perfect light with the perfect snow, fingers finding the grab, edges locking onto a rail or ledge, speed perfectly dialed, and balanced feet finding their way to the ground as they prepare for landing. For every magical shot in your favorite film, edit, or photo, dozens or more hit the cutting room floor. In reality its a waiting game of hours, days, or weeks for light. The snow is harder than it looks. Grabs are often missed. Edges fail. Speed is off- too fast, too slow. That perfect balance point eludes even the most talented as they plummet to the ground below. Didn’t get the shot? No matter- pick up your gear and hike back up for another try. Or a few more. As many as it takes to get the shot or until you can break the habit.

Lots of you guys know that skiing in Mt Hood isn't more about the days on skis than the ones in forest and by the coast. While filming for this third flick of our life in Oregon I wanted to show what it is to live in our "ski bum tents" and bring you the real life experiences. I hope this will be a good summary to what we faced and that it will give you the envy to go discover those incredible places and animals we care so much about. Peace and love to all the people who made this trip the greatest story to tell our kids when we'll be grown up. Thanks to these guys for making everything possible : Volkl, Dakine, Marker, Dalbello, Oakley, GoPro and Feiyu Tech.

Had a blast up at Mt Hood skiing Timberline in early May. HUGE THANKS to Loren for taking the time to film and edit this! hope everyone enjoys! cheers
I had a wild time this season traveling on the FWQ circuit and getting dumped on almost every day at home in Tahoe. I had my season cut short by a few months this time around and did not really get a chance to do any filming, so here's what I was able to pull together from GoPros and iPhones. Enjoy! Huge thank you to Smith Optics, The North Face, GoPro, and Sugar Bowl Resort for your support over this past season. As always, shoutout to my amazing friends and family as well. Also, thanks to any and everyone who pointed a camera in my general direction this season (Aaron Fox, Ryan Faye, Trevor Tanhoff, Paul Gradeff, Tyler Curle, and more). First day on big jumps this season, learned sw dub at the end of last season and wanted to work on them, here are the 4 I did. What is wrong with them? they don't feel like they come around the way other peoples do. I put some quick descriptions of what was going on in each attempt, just pause the video to read them cause it goes fast. Any help is appreciated. If you are going to say this is a claim then fuck right off, and get off a site made for discussing skiing.
Short self-edit of my shots from last year. It was one of the most fun seasons yet and I also did my first big trip around the world, skiing in Finland, China, Canada and USA. Huge thanks to everybody that I got to ski and hang out with, and all of the filmers and supporters!
