“Banged Up” is the much anticipated follow-up to Sam Zahner and Calvin Barrett’s debut film “70/30”. Winding their way through the streets of Colorado, Minnesota, and Massachusetts, Sam and Calvin were joined by Mike Cappola, Seamus Flanagan, Scrappy Joe, and Pete Koukov. After countless cold days and painful nights, last minute cross-country drives chasing storms that didn’t happen, endless shoveling and a surplus of slams, the title could not be a more accurate depiction of Winter 17/18 through the eyes of the crew.

Watching this video brought back fond memories of when the most important thing in our lives was capturing that next 10 second video shot. When it came to an urban mission, no one was as dedicated as Marc. It takes a certain type person to seek out impossibly long kinked rails and spend the freezing early morning hours trying to slide along them on a pair of skis. Hours spent digging, setting up ramps, hauling generators, running extension cords and positioning lights all in the anticipation of filming something new. For over a decade this was our life, the constant pursuit of that next shot which ultimately was just for the love of pushing urban skiing. Of all the skiers and snowboards I had the pleasure of filming Marc is one of the riders who exemplified that. The countless hours of urban footage Marc amassed is a testament to the dedication he put into his skiing and the love he has for the sport. While he may have retired from combing the streets in search of that next 10 kink rail it is very clear that he left his own mark on the sport. Words By: Matt McEnery

The West Coast Session is one of the most unique ski events held annually in May at Mt. Hood, Oregon. We met up with Liberty team riders Teal Harle and Max Moffat in Vancouver and made the trip down the coast. West Coast Sessions is the last event of the year where the best park riders from around the globe gather. Everyone gets together and sessions one of the best spring parks for a week. There are no judges, no officials, just a good group of friends that love skiing. This is our favourite event of the year and we are stoked to be a part of the very last West Coast Session. I had the season of my life last winter up in Revelstoke with a some good friends! It was epic to explore a rad new zone with some of my best amigos! This is my full 16/17 season cut. Get stoked on this winter!!
5 of the last 6 summers I have spent on Mt. Hood. I had nothing to train for this past summer so I skied for myself and accomplished goals that I have had for a long time. As the season winds down and the spring days get warmer, skiers from across North America migrate to Whistler, BC. Liberty athlete Max Moffatt flew into Vancouver in hopes of riding a couple weeks of spring park with Teal Harle. The early days of the trip was a constant struggle battling the wet coastal weather.
