After showcasing athletes in the PNW and Utah, we wanted to bring things back to our Colorado roots. Summit County has always been one of the hotspots for park skiing, and that has yet to change. A Walk in the Park: Bounce Back - Sam Zahner, Mike Cappola, and Calvin Barrett was filmed over a week in late April, highlighting some of the best young up-and-comers in Summit. Filmed and edited by Andrew Mildenberger at Arapahoe Basin and Keystone. Enjoy.

Troll Re-Opens April 1 Noon-5pm - No fooling! | What can a troll say? It's been an amazing season. Ma Nature was a cruel vixen, yet the snow trolls gave up no ground. Snow was made. Parks were built. Humans came out, and seemed pretty amused. S/O to Nick Schoess, our capturer of humans in their natural, and unnatural habitats. Killed it all season! And to all the humans, thank you all for coming out to Troll this year, for watching the antics, for making memories, and supporting skiing in the Midwest. I've had kind of a rough past two years ski wise. With blowing my right knee out once in 2015, and then re-tearing the same knee the following year in 2016, it was questionable whether or not skiing was still worth it. After months on months of rehab, I got the okay to get back on my skis this past January, and while I was scared shitless of hurting my knee again everyday I was skiing, I managed to have one of the best seasons of my life. I figured I'd call this my 'comeback season' as I never thought I would really come back into skiing right where I left off. I can't thank my family and friends enough for the constant and continued support that helped me get over my injuries, and I cannot wait to get back on my planks this season for another great winter with many more to come.

There's something about February. The rhythm of the season is in full swing. Everyone's comfortable on the snow. The park sets start to get weird, as the amount of available snow and creative juice levels rise daily. These are Trollhaugen human beings in their natural habitat, and they brought some friends along to coordinate. And they are coordinated. Agility. Harmony. Friendship. Trickery. Filming. Whichever definition you choose means little to your eyeballs. Coordinate your vision with the screen. Coordinate your tips with the volume dial. Coordinate your high-fives with filmer/editor Nick Schoess. Enjoy Trollhaugen Human Being: Coordinated. Film/Edit:Nick Schoess for Trollhaugen A note from Nick: Skiing is my life. I spend all my time thinking about it, watching it, talking about it and doing it. What you see here is the fruits of not just my labor, but more importantly the blood sweat and tears of everybody featured in this video series. On behalf of them, and me, I say thank you for watching and caring. We're trying to bring Midwest skiing into the limelight and build a community upon which anyone would be proud to be a part of. If you ever find yourself out in the land of yellow and blue rails, come say hi. We're all friends here. We're local. Enjoy. A note from Trolls: Been super stoked to watch this series evolve. Troll is a Twin Cities (MN) snow playground, located in Wisconsin. We'd like to think that we represent the Midwest honorably. We get stoked on snow, and by the humans who get weird on it. This episode of Human Being features Troll locals, Midwest locals,Troll local filmer/editor @nosebutter.exe, music by a Twin Cities-area musician, and tots purchased locally in the Stuga.
