Plenty of snow followed by temperatures well below -20c for weeks on end made filming Part 1 of Stoke The Flame extremely difficult. Camera displays frozen solid, batteries draining after one shot and Adam even encountered a couple black toes. None the less we got the shots we were looking for and have a long winter ahead. Kin of the Mountain is a 2 day ski and snowboard event that combines Freeride with Freestyle. Featuring a hand built freeride course on day 1 with jumps, hips and trannys, and day 2 with a custom slopestyle course. King of the Mountain aims to find out who truly is the most well rounded rider.

Back in January and February, my friend Otto and I spent two months skiing in Canada, where we primarily lived and skied in Whistler. However, we also took a ten day trip to Revelstoke and Kicking Horse with a larger group of friends. We didn't manage to film quite as much as we would have liked however, we tried to get the best out of the footage that we had. Filmed mostly with GoPro Hero5 & Karma Grip.
Got into this and well, it was good enough a year that Squaw shots are going to need their own edit. I'd call it a backcountry edit but I don't suppose Crystal and Alpine count, even if there is walking involved. And that one shot is Munchkins, no questions. Crystal Mountain, Rutherford, Alpine Meadows, Deep Creek, Painted Rock, Cold Stream Canyon, Davis Creek, Emerald Bay Chutes, Mt. Williamson "Giant's Steps."
