Alternate Approach - Eric Pollard & Karl Fostvedt

by Twig
Dec 2016 - 5.3K views

Some of the best terrain on the planet can only be accessed by the quick, coordinated, and surgical flight pattern of a helicopter. In this short, Eric Pollard and and Karl Fostvedt pack their bags for the western shoreline of Kootenay Lake, just outside of Nelson, BC., for a heli trip for the books. When the bird lifts off the ground and the pilot’s voice comes through the headphones – only the powder slashes, butters, and cliff drops that dreams are made of lay ahead. Good thing these guys brought their snorkels – it was well overhead out there… For more info visit dakine.com

Seeking Nirvana 2.3 - Road To Nowhere

by Newschoolers
Oct 2017 - 2.2K views

The road trip, a time-honoured tradition and rite of passage really… Letting routine fade away in the rear-view, they look forward, awaiting what the horizon holds. Worries left behind and uncertain of what lies ahead, they are left with the present moment. And with that, the stage is set. These 4 gents, embark on a uniquely coastal journey from the alpine peaks that guard the Duffy Lake Rd. to the rugged and unexplored coastlines of the northern reaches of Vancouver Island. Big mountains, deserted surf breaks, river navigation and picturesque coastal scenery highlight this adventure along the Road To Nowhere. @seeking.nirvana Featuring: Mike Henitiuk ~ @mikeheni Joe Schuster ~ @joe_schuster Matt Margetts ~ @mattmargetts Riley Leboe ~ @rileyleboe Locations: British Columbia, Canada Supported By: EDGEtv - @edgetvnetwork MEC - @mec Tyrolia - @tyroliabindings Norrona - @norrona Editing, Sound and Colour: Leigh Powis Cinematography: Taylor Loughran Jamie Tanner Aerial Cinematography: Dylan Ross Jamie Tanner Spencer Craig Narration: Colby James West Jay Henitiuk

While You Were At The Beach // Not Your Average Summer Skiing Edit

by B.Gillis
Oct 2016 - 2.4K views

Not your average summer skiing edit. All of this was filmed between June 1st and September 1st. This summer may have been the best summer of my life. I was fortunate enough to take two cross country road trips on top of a few long weekend adventures. I traveled to regions of the country that I never thought I would see and I slept in my car most of the way but it was worth it because I got to ski in tons of amazing places including three national parks during a span of four days. This summer has proven to me once again that skiing will take my life to heights I can't imagine.

Redemption in the Motatapu chutes at TC

by ibex
Nov 2018 - 1K views

I tried to ski this line maybe 8 years ago, the last time the NZ Open big mountain event was held in the Motutapu chutes at Treble Cone In Wanaka, New Zealand. That time I screwed up the first hop turn and straight lined out to the left, crashing into the chute. This time everything went to plan! Goal for next season is to ski it faster!!

10 years of the Atomic Bent Chetler

by Atomic
Sep 2018 - 2.4K views

In the last 10 years Chris has redefined what’s possible in the backcountry with the help of his pro model. And he not only contributes by giving his skis his own graphics and style but also came up with the idea of HRZN Tech and this ultimate powder design. Year by year he comes back to the Atomic R&D team and together they further develop and fine-tune every little detail to make the best powder ski even better. It's time to celebrate and how does a legend live on? One way: offspring. That’s why the Bent Chetler family is getting bigger. With two new shapes, skiers can ride Bent Chetler from grom to grown-up. Meet the son – the Mini. The perfect size and shape ski for young rippers with a taste for the fluffy stuff. A ski that makes the mountain feel like a big, incredible playground. The 100 – a do-anything, go-anywhere, one-ski-quiver, totally prepped for taking it wherever you want to go. The everyday ski that brings the whole mountain to life. You know dad – the 120. The visionary ski that sparked it all. It flies, it butters, it slashes and it carves new lines where none were before. With the wisdom of a mountain veteran and the speed and power of a well-oiled machine, the 120 brings float and fun on the deepest days. This is the family, and they call the mountains home. MORE THAN 60 YEARS ON WE’RE STILL HERE. Since 1955, the equipment we’ve made in Altenmarkt has taken skiers to the top of every ski podium, further in the backcountry, smoother down the piste, higher in the half pipe and longer on the cross-country track. The secret to our success? The know-how and passion of our employees and athletes. Skiing’s in our blood. It doesn’t just shape how we design and deliver our products. It inspires and defines us. It always has and always will. #weareskiing
