EP.3 of Before Tomorrow is live! EP.3 is a bit of a reflection of this winter as a whole for the Benshi crew. This winter we explored zones new and old, climbed alpine peaks, and pushed our comfort zones.
The team heads out to hit 2 classic spring summits, Mansfield and Tuck's. These two mountains are known for getting caked with snow all winter and holding onto it longer than most. You know what they say, get it while the gettin 's good! __________________________ Subaru of New England presents Promised Land: Season 2, the 15th annual production by Ski The East. One of the best parts ever. Bringin' the park steeze out in the back country.
Tyler Curle taking advantage of the crazy amount of snow we've received over the first weeks of January. Skiing on the 186 Governor and 190 Bibby Pro.
We set out to Japan this February to film the famous blower pow. No plan, just flights and a van. To our dismay, Japan had been unusually dry this season. Finding snow was exhausting and not the easiest, but the trip was unforgettable. Shout out to Lawson's convenience store.

Backflip into Corbet's Couloir at Jackson Hole. Powder skiing backcountry and cliff drops in and around Jackson Hole
Suns out guns out. High Pressure at Alta has called for some B&B action ( Building Booters) in the back country. Powders nice but sunny days have gave us some great opportunity to get real sendy. Sunday March 13th while skiing down grizzly I saw a dude building a jump alone so I decided to see if he needed help. We Built we sent We Conquered. Stomped my first ever double back flip and it felt so damn good.
Song - Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark - A compilation of my favourite shots from the last season. My approach to editing is heavily influenced by skate videos. I used (almost) no slow motion or filler and no go pro footage. No Bullshit. Big thanks to everyone who filmed and helped me dig my sled out. Thanks to Iron Maiden for your music not only in the context of this edit, but also for giving me focus on skis all winter. Thanks to TMC, Lange and Faction for keeping me rolling. Thanks to Mom and Dad and K for unwavering support. See you on the hill. insta: @jacob_boyd http://underwhiteskies.ca
Thanks to also Esa-Matti Haatainen & the dancing guy! Tried something little different this time.
Off doing summer things now (mostly playing disc golf and drinking loads) but thought we'd share this last episode. This one consists mostly of the shots we got through Intersection this season along with some others. Getting the stoke on for next season already! Enjoy!
A ginger. A skier. A legend? The following program is brought to you by Conor MacDonalds’s 2017 ski season, the first and possibly the last time Conor will be living in whistler. This was a season of pow. A season of friendship. A season to remember. Thank you to everyone who made it great! A special reminder that these stunts are not performed by professionals, so please try at home and do enjoy these highlights responsibly. Filmed by: Seth Gillis, Peter Wojnar, Jacob Boyd, Jeremy Acland, Essex Prescott Special thanks to: Sebastian Arciniega
YLESKI 2015 is the culmination of Wiley Miller?s 2015 winter season. Shot almost exclusively in the Columbia Mountains of interior British Columbia. The winter of 2015 was adverse in many areas of North America. Finding good conditions remained challenging. Patience, and persistence was key in finding safe, suitable snowpack. This is the second installment to the YLESKI series, highlighting the best of Wiley Miller and his approach to snow. ?I set out this winter to spend my time exploring new mountains, scouting lines, and finding natural airs in the terrain to work with. This season ski touring, route finding, and line selection were set in priority above building jumps and locating step-downs. It was an alternative I decided to take when the snow started to fly in November of 2014. I set out to do more skiing and less building, setting up-tracks versus cutting blocks for jumps. The sport becomes so dynamic when you?re working with larger terrain. It?s challenging, I love the experience, and constant education that takes place out there in the mountains.? MSP brings their award winning approach to the table with Claim, The Greatest Ski Movie… EVER! this time poking fun at themselves and the industry as a whole. Claim features several longtime MSP all-stars as well as newcomers including Sean Pettit.
The only worthy roof for the talents of Eric Hjorleifson and Thayne Rich is in a backcountry touring hut, where life remains primitive and the skiing, well, radical. This is a complete 4FRNT adventure with great disparity between top talents, each driven to create content from alternating perspectives. What happens when you put the GAH poster boy (Hoji) in a hut with a rookie like Thayne? Does the puppy breathe life into the old dog? Does he fall in line, one kick turn at a time? The 2-part Meadow Lodge documents a 3-day adventure with Eric and Thayne in The Esplanades, an eastern sub range of The Columbia’s where the terrain flows east to the Columbia Rivers’ Kinbasket Lake. Enjoy the crafts of these two backcountry skiers as they literally ski from the door of Meadow Lodge down fluted spines, endless pillows and perfectly gladed tree runs.
