Colter Hinchliffe and Tim Durtschi instruct us in a variety of ski carrying techniques native to the Austrian Alps. While North Americans will be familiar with the classic over-the-shoulder carry technique known as The Local, they'll be less familiar with Austrian techniques such as The Offering, The Decapitator, The Oklahoma Suitcase, and The Reverse Local, which Colter and Tim demonstrate in person while documenting variances on the techniques performed by native practitioners. SnowChasers is a project produced by Film Maker Chris King out of Seattle,WA and Professional Skier Tyler Ceccanti out of Lake Tapps, WA. The goal of the web series is to show not only the skiing available in the Pacific Northwest but also the routine of a long winter in the eyes of a professional skier, and how hectic a schedule can be. Join us in the 1st episode as we hit the dry terrain parks of Summit-at-Snoqualmie and Stevens Pass in late December, the backcountry skiing of Japan, and finally some late season powder at Crystal Mountain, WA. I made a little edit from the shots i got this winter. We had a really deep winter on the westcoast of norway this year, and i didnt get a single park shot because we spent all our time in the backcountry. Still, an incredibly fun season, hope you like it.

In New Zealand, there is a ski field called Treble Cone, which consistently draws a crowd of mad folk from the four corners of the Earth (Flat Earth theory?) who all froth past the brim on Freeriding and getting a bit silly. This Started as my season edit, but ended up with a bunch of shots of all the crew havin'a'time on a few of the best TC rat pack days of the season. The POV footage is all from my head on my Drift helmet cam and the first minute is just me, with Cam Mcdermid ripping some grass in a black suit in a couple of clips.
