Run Sam Lee - Vallnord-ArcalÃs Andorra FWT17 - Swatch Freeride World Tour 2017
This is my first run on the Freeride World Tour at Vallnord Arcalis in Andorra back in Feb. I love grassy landings, but that first drop was almost a write-off...

UBC Freeride had an awesome season last year shredding around Whistler and the local backcountry. Here is what Peter Wentz got up to during this time. He would like to thank Prior Snow, Dissent Labs, UBC Freeride, and ROMP Outerwear for their support throughout the season! Insta -- @pwentzy

Colter Hinchliffe and Tim Durtschi instruct us in a variety of ski carrying techniques native to the Austrian Alps. While North Americans will be familiar with the classic over-the-shoulder carry technique known as The Local, they'll be less familiar with Austrian techniques such as The Offering, The Decapitator, The Oklahoma Suitcase, and The Reverse Local, which Colter and Tim demonstrate in person while documenting variances on the techniques performed by native practitioners. For more demonstrations of ski-related techniques, please refer to TGR's latest ski film, Way Of Life: http://bit.ly/16S2es0 Drop in with TGR Facebook: http://facebook.com/tetongravityresearch Instagram: http://instagram.com/tetongravity YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/tetongravityresearch Twitter: http://twitter.com/TetonGravity
Despite the dry winter the Idaho high country has held its snow pack pretty well. Luckily we got out and took full advantage of it these last couple of days. We tried skinning, but found that it was much easier to just hike and boot pack it. You can cover a lot more ground this way, and saves time from having to take skins off and on. Filmed around Lake Cleveland on May 29, 30, and 31.
POV shots from exploring the slackcountry around Whitewater BC.
A broken femur at the Crystal FWQ ended my season, so here is my season edit. Big thanks to K2 Skis, Strafe Outerwear, Spy Optic, and Reusch Gloves for the support. Cant wait to get back next year!

This is not a SICK edit. There are no rad tricks in this edit. I just want you all to see that durring my summer months I'm in Oz getting face shots. Really, the only reason I'm putting this edit online is to make all of you jealous. Thanks for watching.
This episode covers the month of February where 10 feet of snow fell in 10 days and life was good. We were out there filming, skiing, and loving every second of it. After it was all said and done here is what we ended up with!
