Last Tuesday's surprise powder was followed by another 5" on Thursday and 6" on Friday, making for two fantastic days of skiing. Strong winds followed by warmer temperatures buffed out the mountain on Saturday, making for some funky skiing. Sunday was another storm day, with the resort picking up 8" and setting up what should have been an outstanding Monday morning. The weather gods, however weren't on the same page and coated the bottom half of the mountain with rain overnight. Rendezvous Bowl was still great this morning, but getting down the bottom half of the mountain was chaotic at times. And then mother nature decided to make amends by dropping 7" of blower pow for the today's last box. What a week! Here's a collection of clips from all of this. About a week ago it was raining in Utah, so Eric Balken and I jumped in the car with our friend, Asa, to go the Tetons for a couple days. Lot's of fun times were had navigating the fog while skiing pow and exploring Targhee and Teton Pass.
Got 1 run top to bottom, top skiers advanced to Sunday's final. Super sick event, advanced to the final but blew out my binding with 3 other people on the course. Stoked for the final 2 events.
Little december edit... good times in squaw when it used to snow here.
Got in a few runs later in the day today. The rain crust from last week is almost buried, but is still out there waiting to take you out. Got to go for a nice slide through the trees when I found the rain crust. The skiing was pretty great today.

Http://INSPIREDMEDIA.TV Produced, edited, filmed by and starring Ian and Neil Provo ~ Shot on location -Utah backcountry ~ December - January 2011 "For the last 10 years, Neil and I have been riding boards through the powder without bindings. What started as preseason fun on rails and kickers with the early Premier snowskates, has evolved into a new passion and a new way to experience the powder covered mountains. Without bindings, powder surfing has been like taking a step back in time, providing a timeless feeling that really connects you back to the roots. By de-progressing the boards we ride, we actually opened up a whole new set of challenges and goals. After 22 years of riding on snow, it feels amazing to discover something so new and fresh. If you can't have an indonesian overhead tube, than the next best thing might be a 2500 foot powder pipe in Utah!" - Ian provo
