Banged Up

“Banged Up” is the much anticipated follow-up to Sam Zahner and Calvin Barrett’s debut film “70/30”. Winding their way through the streets of Colorado, Minnesota, and Massachusetts, Sam and Calvin were joined by Mike Cappola, Seamus Flanagan, Scrappy Joe, and Pete Koukov. After countless cold days and painful nights, last minute cross-country drives chasing storms that didn’t happen, endless shoveling and a surplus of slams, the title could not be a more accurate depiction of Winter 17/18 through the eyes of the crew.

Marc Dandurand 10 Years of Urban Skiing

Watching this video brought back fond memories of when the most important thing in our lives was capturing that next 10 second video shot. When it came to an urban mission, no one was as dedicated as Marc. It takes a certain type person to seek out impossibly long kinked rails and spend the freezing early morning hours trying to slide along them on a pair of skis. Hours spent digging, setting up ramps, hauling generators, running extension cords and positioning lights all in the anticipation of filming something new. For over a decade this was our life, the constant pursuit of that next shot which ultimately was just for the love of pushing urban skiing. Of all the skiers and snowboards I had the pleasure of filming Marc is one of the riders who exemplified that. The countless hours of urban footage Marc amassed is a testament to the dedication he put into his skiing and the love he has for the sport. While he may have retired from combing the streets in search of that next 10 kink rail it is very clear that he left his own mark on the sport. Words By: Matt McEnery

Liberty Skis // Spring Vacation 2.0

As the season winds down and the spring days get warmer, skiers from across North America migrate to Whistler, BC. Liberty athlete Max Moffatt flew into Vancouver in hopes of riding a couple weeks of spring park with Teal Harle. The early days of the trip was a constant struggle battling the wet coastal weather. So we took a trip to the best park in Sweden, Kläppen Snowpark, to get some time of the streets getting inspired. Taking nice long breaks among the snowy trees, drinking wine at night to the sweet sounds of LeeB's Ukulele with Idea on the TV. Big up's to Noppa and Kläppen snowpark for making it possible for us to go ski without worries. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vi tog en trip till den bästa parken i Sverige, Kläppen Snowpark, för att få lite tid av gatorna och bli inspirerade. Liberty Skis // Max Moffatt "Roots"

We visit Liberty Skis athlete Max Moffatt in his hometown of Caledon, Ontario, to see what it is like to grow up skiing in Eastern Canada. The project reveals a behind the scenes look into where everything started for the 18 year-old Canadian National Slopestyle Team athlete. The journey begins in Max's back yard at Caledon Ski Resort. The resort is home to a tight-knit group of of die-hard skiers, including the Moffatt family. Moffatt spent his early days learning to ski at the hill, and then later joined the Caledon race team. The resort plays a huge part in the love and passion that Max has today for skiing. After a few days at home, Max headed to Mount St. Louis Moonstone. What the resort lacks in vertical feet it makes up for with the world-class terrain park; it is home to some of the best skiers in the world.
