Last Thursday and early in the morning, the alarm clocks of the freeskiers Carsten Hansen, Corsin Naeff und Manuel Pleifer were buzzing like crazy. While some morning grouch might have just hit the snooze and gone back to sleep, our boys just needed a quick glance outside to jump out of their beds as happy as a clam. No wonder since the first sunrays on the horizon were just about to oust the dark of the night and put a sparkle on the fresh snow. Crazy freestyle action at the Snowpark Lenzerheide! More than 50 freeskiers met up in Switzerland for the QParks showdown ?Freestyle Madness?. Weather doesn't matter! Big Air instead of Slopestyle Contest. Due to the weather conditions, the 10-year-anniversary edition of the legendary Sick Trick Open in Kitzbühel had to be staged on the last jump of the kicker line. The riders, among them many familiar faces, nevertheless put on a spectacular show for the audience!

This season he took that knowledge and brought it all the way to Gstaad to build the beautiful Snowparkl Sannenmoeser. Our discovery journey through the Dolomiti Super Freestyle snowparks continues at the Sanpe Snowpark, a park which was completely renovated for this season and where everyone can find challenging obstacles for his/her own level. The park?s location on the San Pellegrino Pass is particularly favorable: there is no lack of natural snow and the area is always sunlit. We spent an awesome film and photo shooting day in the park together with the riders!

One day after the supposed Armageddon, the same atmosphere dominated the morning of the QParks Tour stop Blue Tomato Plan P at the Superpark Planai. Fog and strong snowfalls reduced visibility, difficult conditions during the qualifications. The contest setup, consisting of 4 different jib and kicker obstacles in a row, was hardly to see and riders could no better than guess the outlines of the obstacles. But nevertheless more than 50 top motivated freeskiers aged between 12 and more than 30 years came to the Superpark Planai and showed that the weather isn?t the most important thing when it comes to freestyle. Having a good time with friends and shredding together a pre-Christmas contest, that?s what it was all about. qparkstour.com
