Skiing > Not Skiing (dont @ me)
Pretty cruisy up there on the Stanton Glacier. Feels good to wrap up another summer of skiing questionable antique snow. Ready for Rocktober pow to make it 48 months straight of noodling around in the hills.

Gem Lake Couloir off of Trapper Peak in the southern Bitterroots. Skiing is not in slow motion. I just went really slow to avoid death. Type 2 kind of fun as they say in the streets.
repeat of yesterdays hot lap Lolo tour with more yayo sprinkled on top. See you at Lost Powder Mountain Trail tomorrow for trench town.
survival skiing on Suncupped garbage riddled with fallen rock debris. Neat times exploring a new zone tho. A little earlier perhaps for next year.
Sunday brunch at the jazz studio before the heatwave fuct errything! reset time pleaze. Sorry for overuse of this song its just so lovely.
I have become really addicted to the process, raping instagram/blogs for beta, scouting, and then executing. It brings great pleasure to my cold black heart.
hauling skis on my back for miles wasnt painful enough, so I added a vessel to the pack. Such a fun day in the mission mountains.
skiing is a lot like a girl flashing her dumpers. Even the mediocre ones are thoroughly enjoyable.
Skied down to lantern lake off the north face of lolo peak. Twas very fun.
Kept it mellow at low low pass while the snowpack heals up high. 2 days of stumpjumping to keep warm in the frigid temps. fun stuff.
Getting pretty deep out there today! Gonna be even deeper tomorrow!! Hooray for tru montana cold smoke!
Porter the dog made us look like pussies as usual by fully sending. Lindsy Vonn cameo. 19 consecutive months of shralping. Sorry Tall T Dan, I cant #stopskiing.
It snowed a very little bit up in the high country, but of course we had to investigate. The way up looked pretty bleak. Then we found where the wind had blown all the snow off the top of the mountain and created a little snow oasis. It wasn't much but it was enough to make me feel happy again.
Attempt at the west couloir of graywolf peak in the mission mountains. Huge day trying to conquer this beast while battling fussy weather. The skies finally cleared revealing that the main chute was too runnelled out to ski from the top, so we skied a spicy pincher chute looker's right. It was 3 inches on top of pretty firm snow, which made for one of the most intense lines I have ever skied. Spring skiing in full effect!!!
great day with the boys up on lolo pass popping off things. Clear skies and deep snow made for a perfect day to end 2016 properly. What a year its been. I ho...
Celebrated diversity by participating in the whitest sport on the planet.
I've been drooling over the Mission Mountains since I moved to Montana and yesterday I finally got up there. Despite some mild bushwhackage and variable snow it was a great day to preview the vast potential of this visually stunning range. I will be returning soon...
Who doesnt like unknowingly cruising towards a little death crack every now and then. Could have been ugly. looked deep and scary. Lucky to sneak in a great lap between the hail and lightning. Taking advantage of the higher elevation trailheads finally becoming accessible!
Blessed with stable blower pow and great visibility for 2 nights at the Little St. Joe cabin in the Bitterroots. Lots of long jazzy dad pow laps with some good blokes. Great way to kick off 2 months of funemployment. #jahbless
Fantastic day conquering the almighty Sugarloaf peak in the Bitterroots. Such a cool line that I have been eyeing for a couple years. So lucky to ski it in great April conditions. Such a great snowpack for spring missions.
Keeping it real intermediate at the local hill while we wait for the next snow to open up shop. So ready to sit on some lifts and make laps. BTW the atomic bentchetler 100s are fucking awesome in all kinds of snow and are proving to be a worthy touring weapon.
2 laps deep in the Rattlesnake Wilderness Area on old Mosquito Peak. The 2nd chute was a new one for me and the choke point did not fill in that great this year obv. Always sketch guinea pigging a line that no one has skied all year. Big line season is upon us. Jazzed for more marathon days in ze mountains.
Classically hungover ski mission in the Mission Mountains last Friday September 30th 2016.
The thick wildfire smoke cleared for one day so we could ski some dirty patches. Thank you baby jesus.
Such a great vibe at this little summer setup. So nice to leave the skins at home and make lift laps!
Started out being a beautiful day skiing with the boys. Then a small slide popped on me. Never let your guard down on mellow terrain. Slides dont have to be big and gnarly to put you on the couch.
Just slogging around some more new areas to try and find the goods.
After a 3 week hiatus due to shit weather and working 12 days straight we lucked out with perfect weather for a legendary slog up to Gunsight mountain and the Sperry Glacier in Glacier National Park. No grizzlies and great corn. Cool to ski on a glacier that may not last our lifetime. All said and done it was a 17 hour day covering roughly 23 miles and 10k feet of up.
Checking out old zones. Trying to remember how to ski before the next big storm hits. Feeling like half a bitcoin.
This marks 36 months of continuous shredding. 19 inches of ratchet ass snow made for some juicier than normal Rocktober turns. Sun cup season is over.
ending powder days with a hike up tv mountain is a snowbowl tradition. With a proposed lift going in soon this stony zone may never be the same. #savetvmountain
