After spending nearly a month on the road which took me from Massachusetts to Quebec to Colorado for the SIA tradeshow in Denver and the XGames in Aspen, I spent the weekend "decompressing" at my family's house in Lincoln, NH. It was good to spend some time in a familiar location, and even better to make some turns at my home resort of Loon Mtn. Click for video
CR Johnson passed away today skiing at Squaw Valley today. We are still waiting for more information, but the shock of losing such an amazing skier has hit me personally very hard. Despite the 2:00 a.m. wake up & departure from Cape Cod, I was pretty excited for most of the 3 hr 20 min drive to get up to my home resort and shoot the sunrise atop North Peak. If I had a bucket list, riding to the summit of Loon in a snowcat would be crossed off now.
