Sage Cattabriga-Alosa Launches A New Season Of Sony Mind's Eye

by TetonGravity
Mar 2014 - 959 views

The days of the classic Teletubby look of a bulky POV camera mounted to the helmet are numbered... instead Sage captures his early winter shredding the Alps during the jump-infused big mountain comp known as the Swatch Skier's Cup (Team Americas wins again!) with the low-pro Action Cam. An uber-wide 170 degree field of vision helps for up-close pans of tourists as they gape at the Matterhorn, the Carl Zeiss lens keep the view crisp even when Sage's Phish tour-length mane gets in the way, and the splash-proof body seems to have held up to its first product testing environment in the pow-choked woods around Little Cottonwood Canyon. We think Sage skis too smoothly to have really put the new image stabilizer to the test, but my chattery backseat runs down the blue squares over at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort are certainly up to the task. Sony's new Action Cam also features superb audio - key for catching those "Is it on?!" moments in the singles line of the most bad boy lift at your home hill. Drop in with TGR! UBC Free Ride Footy Dump #1

Mar 2014 - 3.1K views

It's been a Hell of a Season trying to get some solid pow turns in with that dry spell of snow out here in BC earlier on. But with some recent storms and more skipped classes, we were able to get out and compile a bunch of footage. After getting carried away with filming we decided it was about time to dump some footy on the internet to make room for some more, and maybe for some lecture notes for school?....... Nah. Stay tuned for the Idaho Urban edit dropping ASAP, and for our vid from the upcoming Bralorne Backcountry Picnic. ALSO to check out some of the outerwear worn in this video go to Romp.com .

WinterTrash Webisode 1: Switzerland

by Line_Skis
Mar 2014 - 1.8K views

Even tho the winter in the northern alps in europe sucked big time this year, there where places in the alps which where drowning in snow. The idea behind this project really is to show people the endless potential we have for skiing in europe. Just open your door or take your car and drive 2h and you will find some fresh snow for sure. We want to show people that you do not need a huge budget to produce some high quality skiing. We are just a group of friends putting our hearts and souls into this project to show YOU guys what really is possible in europe. With Sebi Schwertl we have one of the hottest upcoming filmers on board and we are stoked that he will put all his efforts into producing some high qualtiy ski webisodes for ur entertainment. In this episode we took our crew to Engadin, Switzerland, luckily we were able to stay at our friends place Silvia Flück, who lives right in the heart of beautiful Plan da Lej. We want to thank her big time for the hospitality and the great times. If u ever need a nice place to stay check out her appartements: grevasalvas.ch Song: Vance Joy - RipTide Riders: Dave Ortlieb, Jonas Hunziker, Roy Kittler, Sämi Ortlieb Big thanks to our sponsors Dakine and Line Skis without them this project would have never become reality. I hope you enjoy watching as much as we did enjoy our time producing this webisode
