Colter Hinchliffe and Tim Durtschi instruct us in a variety of ski carrying techniques native to the Austrian Alps. While North Americans will be familiar with the classic over-the-shoulder carry technique known as The Local, they'll be less familiar with Austrian techniques such as The Offering, The Decapitator, The Oklahoma Suitcase, and The Reverse Local, which Colter and Tim demonstrate in person while documenting variances on the techniques performed by native practitioners. Deep in the Neacola Mountains of Alaska, Todd Ligare, Ian McIntosh, and Angel Collinson discover a tempting line that calls for airing over two crazy crevasses. Towering over 3,000 vertical feet, this face already offers ample challenge. And for Ligare, a sketchy fall makes for quite the scare. Way Of Life?s Behind the Line is a series that takes you into the minds of the TGR athletes. Each episode features a unique line, jump, or session as athletes take a look back and discuss the moment. The series gives you an in depth look Behind The Line of these incredible film moments. It snows in Maine sometimes and last season was full of 3 snowstorms and sketchy brackett basin cliffs. Enjoy my season edit.
Ended my season prematurely with a knee injury. Logged 16 days on snow, and had a blast. Made this edit while I wait for MRI results. Filmed in Idaho and Montana. Special thanks to string cheese, granola bars, and beef jerky for making it all possible. music: Rilo Kiley-- The Execution of All Things White Panda-- Boulevard of Heart Attacks

A couple shots recapping George Rodney's last few years.
Whistler hasn't seen shit for snow in the last month. Cold temps and blue skies make it easy to bootpack, though, so take what you get and run with it!
After a disappointing month in december we had a roller coaster of a month in January split between spring weather and powder. This is what we got when it got good! Featuring the sliding abilities of Weston Carrothers, Elliott Duffus, and Nick Yerger. ENJOY!
Sometimes the wait pays off. Challenging snow and weather conditions greeted Tim Durtschi and Sage Cattabriga-Alosa when they arrived in Les Arcs this January. The legendary Red Bull Linecatcher was unfortunately cancelled due to lack of snow on the venue and troublesome weather forecasts. Undeterred they went shredding together in white-out and dust on crust, making the most of their time in France. On the third day the sun luckily popped out for a few hours! They discovered pockets of fresh deep powder and sessioned epic jumps until the end of the day.

With the Olympics less then a week away I figured we all could use a reminder on why most of us ski.
Extra footage from a trip to Canada last year with Sweetgrass Productions. Huge thanks to these boys for letting me be apart of their movie, they did a fantastic job and I suggest everyone check out Valhalla, it is so good!
